Bibliometric analysis on dividend studies in Brazil

Resumo: The aim of this study was to map the theories regarding the distribution of dividends in the Brazilian capital market. Based on an analysis carried out directly in the journals listed in the Qualis/CAPES A2 and B1 (Quadrennium 2013-2016), published articles between 2008 and 2019. In total, 252 articles were analyzed, from which the theories were most frequently extracted regarding the thematic, as well as the contributions of the studies, through an individualized analysis by published article. In view of this, the sample was reduced to 34 articles, which presented 9 different theories, with 85 authors and 27 educational institutions. After the presentation of each theory found, the results found are discussed, and were possible to confirm the presence of some theories in the national context. As a contribution, this research clarifies the most used theories on dividends, who are the Brazilian authors with the largest number of publications, their respective citations and impact of their papers.

A partir de un análisis realizado directamente en las revistas enumeradas en la evaluación Qualis / CAPES A2 y B1 (Quadriênio 2013-2016), entre 2008 y 2019. En total, se analizaron 252 artículos, de los cuales se extrajeron con mayor frecuencia las teorías sobre el tema , así como las contribuciones de los estudios, a través de un análisis individualizado por artículo publicado. En vista de esto, la muestra se redujo a 34 artículos, que presentaron 9 teorías diferentes, con 85 autores y 27 instituciones educativas. Después de la presentación de cada teoría encontrada, se discuten los resultados encontrados, y es posible confirmar la presencia de algunas teorías en el contexto nacional. Como contribución, este trabajo aclara las teorías más utilizadas sobre dividendos, quienes son los autores brasileños con el mayor número de publicaciones, sus respectivas citas e impacto de sus obras.O objetivo desse estudo foi mapear as teorias que dizem respeito à distribuição de dividendos no mercado de capitais brasileiro. A partir de uma análise realizada diretamente nos periódicos listados na avaliação Qualis/CAPES A2 e B1 (Quadriênio 2013-2016), entre 2008 e 2019. No total foram analisados 252 artigos, dos quais foram extraídas as teorias com maior frequência a respeito da temática, bem como as contribuições dos estudos, através de uma análise individualizada por artigo publicado. Diante disto, a amostra foi reduzida para 34 artigos, que apresentaram 9 teorias distintas, com 85 autores e 27 instituições de ensino. Após a exposição de cada teoria encontrada, discute-se os resultados encontrados, sendo possível confirmar a presença de algumas teorias no contexto nacional.
