The Teaching of Physics by Inquiry: The socioconstruction of knowledge to measure gravitational acceleration

Resumo: | Seeking alternatives to improve quality in education, this research addresses a proposal of Teaching Physics by Investigation, with the main objective of portraying the importance of planning in developing a Sequence of Investigative Teaching - SEI. The article aims to demonstrate the planning of the SEI, to apply in a public school the methodology of teaching through experimental classes and to disseminate to the academic society the results obtained. After analyzing the educational reality of a given local school, through the data of the Brazil Test and a diagnostic evaluation, approaching the specific concept of buoyancy, a SEI was proposed, which was divided into five stages: open questions; open problems; investigation demonstration; open laboratory and systematization of knowledge. To do this, during the SEI, we organized the room in groups of no more than five students so that, in partnership, they could make hypotheses and debates on the presented challenges. In this way, it was possible to verify that the SEI admitted to the students the socioconstruction of the knowledge, since it provided an educative experience of the teaching-learning process of Physics that enabled the students the means to measure, through experimental activities, the value of the acceleration gravitational force through the concept of thrust. Thus, highlighting the social role of the school and the teacher as agents of transformation and of the student as an active and responsive subject, the SEI is an example of a pedagogical practice of teaching physics that not only facilitates learning but, mainly, contributes to the autonomy and commitment necessary for the full development of the student and his preparation for the exercise of citizenship. |

El artículo tiene como objetivo demostrar la planificación de la SEI, aplicar en una escuela pública la metodología de enseñanza a través de clases experimentales y divulgar a la sociedad académica los resultados obtenidos. Después de analizar la realidad educativa de una determinada escuela local, a través de los datos de la prueba Brasil y de una evaluación diagnóstica, abordando el concepto específico de empuje, se propuso una SEI, la cual fuera dividida en cinco etapas: cuestiones abiertas; problemas abiertos; demostración de investigación; laboratorio abierto y sistematización del conocimiento. Para ello, durante la SEI, organizamos la sala en grupos de un máximo de cinco alumnos para que, en sociedad, realizaran hipótesis y debates sobre los desafíos presentados. De esta forma, se pudo constatar que la SEI admitió a los alumnos la socioconstrucción del conocimiento, una vez que proporcionó una vivencia educativa del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de Física que viabilizó a los discentes medios para medir, a través de actividades experimentales, el valor de la aceleración gravitacional por intermedio del concepto de empuje. Así, resaltando el papel social de la escuela y del profesor como agentes de transformación y del alumno como sujeto activo y responsivo, la SEI es un ejemplo de práctica pedagógica de enseñanza de Física que no sólo facilita el aprendizaje, pero, principalmente, contribuye a la autonomía y el compromiso necesarios para el pleno desarrollo del educando y su preparación para el ejercicio de la ciudadanía.Buscando alternativas para melhorar a qualidade na educação, esta pesquisa aborda uma proposta de Ensino de Física por Investigação, tendo como principal objetivo retratar a importância do planejamento ao elaborar uma Sequência de Ensino Investigativo - SEI. O artigo tem como objetivo demonstrar o planejamento da SEI, aplicar em uma escola pública a metodologia de ensino através de aulas experimentais e divulgar para a sociedade acadêmica os resultados obtidos. Após analisar a realidade educacional de uma dada escola local, através dos dados da Prova Brasil e de uma avaliação diagnóstica, abordando o conceito específico de empuxo, propôs-se uma SEI, a qual fora dividida em cinco etapas: questões abertas; problemas abertos; demonstração investigativa; laboratório aberto e sistematização do conhecimento. Para tal, durante a SEI, organizamos a sala em grupos de no máximo cinco alunos para que, em parceria, realizassem hipóteses e debates sobre os desafios apresentados. Desta forma, pôde-se constatar que a SEI admitiu aos alunos a socioconstrução do conhecimento, uma vez que proporcionou uma vivência educativa do processo de ensino-aprendizagem de Física que viabilizou aos discentes meios para medir, através de atividades experimentais, o valor da aceleração gravitacional por intermédio do conceito de empuxo.
