Use of Educational Technology in the Teaching-Learning of Nursing students: Experience report

Resumo: Objective: to discuss development experiences and impressions about the use of video games for teaching and learning of nursing students at a University. Method: this is an experience report, developed during the course of parasitology at a University during the second semester of 2020.2, elaborated in three stages: the creation of the game, the previous evaluation by academic volunteers of nursing and biology of the instrument with error identification and application of the educational tool via Google Meet®. Results and discussion: the game underwent adjustments based on the considerations of nursing staff and academics. Final considerations: it appears that the game offered in video format implies a greater engagement of academics in the class, making the teaching-learning process more effective due to the establishment of previously seen knowledge and the opportunity to remove doubts about the issues In addition, it provides opportunities for greater interaction between academics and professors, assessment of student performance in a relaxed environment and student self-assessment.

Método: se trata de un relato de experiencia, desarrollado durante el curso de parasitología en una Universidad durante el segundo semestre de 2020.2, elaborado en tres etapas: la creación del juego, la evaluación previa por académicos voluntarios de enfermería y biología del instrumento con error identificación y aplicación de la herramienta educativa a través de Google Meet®. Resultados y discusión: el juego pasó por ajustes a partir de las consideraciones de los colaboradores de enfermería y académicos. Consideraciones finales: parece que el juego ofrecido en formato de video implica una mayor participación de los académicos en la clase, haciendo más efectivo el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje debido al establecimiento de conocimientos previamente vistos y la oportunidad de despejar dudas sobre los temas. Además, brinda oportunidades para una mayor interacción entre académicos y profesores, evaluación del desempeño de los estudiantes en un ambiente relajado y autoevaluación de los estudiantes.Objetivo: discorrer acerca das experiências do desenvolvimento e impressões sobre o uso de jogo no formato de vídeo para o ensino-aprendizagem dos acadêmicos de enfermagem de uma Universidade. Método: trata-se de um relato de experiência, desenvolvido no decorrer da disciplina de parasitologia em uma Universidade durante o segundo semestre de 2020.2, elaborado em três etapas: a criação do jogo, a avaliação prévia por voluntários acadêmicos de enfermagem e de biologia do instrumento com identificação de erros e a aplicação da ferramenta educativa via Google Meet®. Resultados e discussão: o jogo sofreu ajustes mediante as considerações dos colaboradores e acadêmicos de enfermagem.
