Resumo: The development of cassava varieties resistant to Fusarium solani is economically viable for producers. For this, it is necessary to identify sources of resistance so that genetic parameters can be estimated, thus increasing information for breeders. The Fusarium genus is one of the main causes of damage, causing major economic impacts on cassava crops worldwide. Therefore, the aims of this work was to identify the levels of resistance to F. solani in cassava genotypes from the IFMS Germplasm Bank. Inoculation in previously autoclaved soil was performed by adding a mixture of sand and cornmeal, where a spore suspension was placed and grown for 20 days. For the control, only the mixture of sand and cornmeal was added to the soil. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse. The experimental design adopted was completely randomized, with 41 treatments (genotypes), with six replications. In this paper we obtained genotypes grouped as resistant, moderately resistant, moderately susceptible and susceptible. The highlight of this study was the importance of cassava in the world production chain and the impact that root pathogens can cause to this crop.

Research, Society and Development2022-07-08info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/3173410.33448/rsd-v11i9.31734Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 9; e23911931734Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 9; e23911931734Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 9; e239119317342525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/31734/27094Copyright (c) 2022 Gabriel Ferreira Paiva; Gustavo Henrique Silveira de Souza; Angelica Rodrigues Alves; Brenda Virgínia Sanches Silva; Luiz Henrique Costa Mota; Francisco José Teixeira Gonçalves; Nancy Farfan Carrascohttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessPaiva, Gabriel Ferreira Souza, Gustavo Henrique Silveira de Alves, Angelica Rodrigues Silva, Brenda Virgínia Sanches Mota, Luiz Henrique Costa Gonçalves, Francisco José Teixeira Carrasco, Nancy Farfan 2022-07-21T12:36:16Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/31734Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:47:58.542017Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
