Resumo: | The educational practice in the penitentiary system arises from the need for new opportunities and the resocialization of people deprived of liberty, since education has an emancipatory character and allows individuals to understand the concept of man and the society in which they are incorporated. In this context, this article aims to highlight the importance of schooling for individuals deprived of their liberty, to know the laws that regulate education for these individuals, to problematize the issue of school dropout and also to reflect on the construction of significant educational practices. It is a qualitative, documentary, and bibliographic study theoretically supported by authors who deal with contemporary social organization and, in this context, with schooling. In terms of prison education, the function of education is to teach the inmates and give them a different vision of the world, in order to find new forms of reintegration into society. Thus, with this bibliographic review, it could be stated that this educational system is not commented because there are not many research sources. Therefore, it is necessary to look for new researches on this topic in order to improve the teaching and allow the change of the incarcerated people. |

Therefore, it is necessary to look for new researches on this topic in order to improve the teaching and allow the change of the incarcerated people.La práctica educativa en el espacio penitenciario surge de la necesidad de nuevas oportunidades y la resocialización de las personas privadas de libertad, ya que la educación tiene un carácter emancipador y permite al individuo comprender el concepto de hombre y sociedad en el que se inserta. En este contexto, los objetivos de este artículo son resaltar la importancia de la educación escolar para las personas privadas de libertad, conocer la legislación que guía la educación para estas materias, problematizar el tema de la deserción escolar y también reflexionar sobre la construcción de prácticas educativas significativas. Esta investigación es cualitativa, documental y bibliográfica, basada teóricamente en autores que discuten la organización social hoy en día y en esta, la educación escolar. En el sentido de la educación penitenciaria, la educación tiene la función de instruir a los detenidos y permitir una visión diferente del mundo, buscando nuevas formas de reintegración en la sociedad. Así, se pudo concluir con esta revisión bibliográfica que, debido a que no existen muchas fuentes de investigación, este sistema educativo no es comentado. Con esto, es necesario buscar nuevas investigaciones relacionadas con el tema para que podamos mejorar la enseñanza y posibilitar el cambio de individuos que están encarcelados allí.A prática educativa no espaço carcerário surge a partir da necessidade de novas oportunidades e da ressocialização dos indivíduos privados de liberdade, visto que a educação possui um caráter emancipatório e permite ao indivíduo compreender o conceito de homem e de sociedade na qual está inserido. Nesse contexto, os objetivos deste artigo são os evidenciar a importância da educação escolar para os privados de liberdade, conhecer as legislações que orientam a educação para esses sujeitos, problematizar a questão do abandono escolar e, ainda, refletir sobre a construção de práticas educativas significativas. Esta pesquisa é de cunho qualitativo, documental e bibliográfico, amparando-se teoricamente em autores que discutem a organização social na atualidade e nesta, a educação escolar. No sentido de educação carcerária, a educação tem a função de instruir os detentos e possibilitar uma visão diferente do mundo, buscando novas formas de reinserção na sociedade. Dessa forma, foi possível concluir com essa revisão bibliográfica que, por não existirem muitas fontes de pesquisa, este sistema de educação não é comentado.
