Resumo: The role of healthcare professionals in a cancer patient´s home have paramount importance. The multidisciplinary team present in the Family Health Strategy (ESF) has the ability to provide the creation of a very important bond, not only with the patient with cancer but also with their family nucleus. The creation of this bond establishes co-responsibility with the community and enables comprehensive care by offering alternatives that positively affect the patient´s scenario and its social cycle. Thus, this study analyzes the importance of the ESF in prevention, screening and palliative care support in cancer patients, associating with possible positive impacts of a good relationship between the patient, family, ESF and the oncology team.

El equipo multidisciplinar presente en la Estrategia de Salud de la Familia (ESF) tiene la capacidad de proporcionar la creación de un vínculo muy importante, no solo con el paciente con cáncer sino también con su núcleo familiar. La creación de este vínculo establece la corresponsabilidad con la comunidad y posibilita una atención integral al ofrecer alternativas que inciden positivamente en el escenario del paciente y su ciclo social. Así, este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la importancia de la ESF en la prevención, cribado y apoyo en cuidados paliativos en pacientes oncológicos, asociándola a los posibles impactos positivos de una buena relación entre paciente, familia, ESF y el equipo de oncología.A atuação de profissionais de saúde junto ao domicílio de pacientes oncológicos é de suma importância. A equipe multidisciplinar presente na Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF) possui a capacidade de proporcionar a criação de um vínculo muito importante, não só com o paciente portador de neoplasia como, também, com o seu núcleo familiar.  A criação deste vínculo estabelece a corresponsabilidade com a comunidade e possibilita a integralidade na atenção ofertando alternativas que afetam positivamente o cenário do paciente e do seu ciclo social.
