Continuing Teacher Education and its Implications for Teaching

Resumo: The aim of this article is to investigate with teachers, aiming to find out where, how and when their continuing education happens, as well as to verify if this received formation satisfied them or not. For this purpose, we used the interview technique recorded with twenty teachers. The research was conducted in four public schools in Mato Grosso, two in Cuiabá and two in Pontes e Lacerda. This research is qualitative in nature and went through the triangulation bias, being the data categorized, coded and analyzed by the content analysis method. The survey showed that all respondents had higher education in various areas of knowledge and that all participated in the training offered in schools and they had between one and twenty five years of experience in teaching. Among other mitigating factors, the degree of teachers' (in) satisfaction was evidenced, considering the need for the trainers to know the needs and the school realities. Still, according to the interviewees, continuing education should be carried out in a local service of pedagogical practice; However, it does not mean that this way it will immediately solve the problems of a pedagogical character, but it will enable a teaching practice based on the action-reflection-action tripod.

Para este propósito, utilizamos la técnica de entrevista grabada con veinte maestros. La investigación se realizó en cuatro escuelas públicas en Mato Grosso, dos en Cuiabá y dos en Pontes e Lacerda. Esta investigación es de naturaleza cualitativa y pasó por el sesgo de triangulación, siendo los datos categorizados, codificados y analizados por el método de análisis de contenido. La encuesta mostró que todos los encuestados tenían educación superior en diversas áreas del conocimiento y que todos participaban en la capacitación ofrecida en las escuelas y tenían entre uno y veinticinco años de experiencia en la enseñanza. Entre otros factores atenuantes, se evidenció el grado de (in) satisfacción de los maestros, considerando la necesidad de que los capacitadores conozcan las necesidades y las realidades de la escuela. Aún así, según los entrevistados, la educación continua debe llevarse a cabo en un servicio local de práctica pedagógica; Sin embargo, no significa que de esta manera resolverá de inmediato los problemas de carácter pedagógico, sino que permitirá una práctica docente basada en el trípode acción-reflexión-acción.O presente artigo tem, como objetivo, o de investigar com os professores, visando descobrir onde, como e quando acontece a formação continuada destes, bem como verificar se esta formação recebida satisfazia-os ou não. Para tal propósito, utilizou-se da técnica de entrevista gravada com vinte professores. A pesquisa foi realizada em quatro escolas públicas de Mato Grosso, sendo duas em Cuiabá e duas em Pontes e Lacerda. Esta pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa e perpassou pelo viés da triangulação, sendo os dados categorizados, codificação e analisados pelo método da análise do conteúdo. Na pesquisa fora evidenciado que todos os entrevistados possuem formação de nível superior em várias áreas do conhecimento e que todos participavam da formação ofertada nas escolas e os mesmos tinham entre um a vinte cinco anos de experiência no magistério. Entre outros atenuantes fora evidenciado o grau de (in) satisfação dos professores, considerando a necessidade de os formadores conhecerem as necessidades e as realidades escolares.
