Brazil Nut oil: extraction methods and industrial applications

Resumo: | Amazon is a region rich in biodiversity of fauna and flora where there are plant species that have the potential to produce drugs, cosmetics, compounds and food in general. Thus, Brazil nut (Bertholletia excelsa H.B.K) is established as a food source for people from this region. In addition, Brazil nut vegetable oil, extracted by various techniques, is studied based on its lipid and antioxidant potential. The work compares the methods of employees presented in the study objective of studies published in the Brazilian literature based on studies of chemical products published for the evaluation of this product, in addition to a review of large characteristic factors presented in data published in the Brazilian literature utility in industrial scope in the food, cosmetics and biofuels area, in order to add to the development of possible applications for Brazil nut oil. Therefore, the traditional methods of products (by solvent pressing and by products presented) are still more used in the industry because of their better yield and stable chemical characteristics, while alternative product methodologies, such as the use of green solvents, Solvents in supercritical and ultrasonic conditions of use have conditions that prevent the feasibility of large-scale uses. |

Así, la castaña (Bertholletia excelsa H.B.K) se establece como fuente de alimento para los habitantes de esta región. Además, el aceite vegetal de nuez de Brasil, extraído por diversas técnicas, se estudia en función de su potencial lipídico y antioxidante. El trabajo compara los métodos de los empleados presentados en el objetivo del estudio de estudios publicados en la literatura brasileña con base en estudios de productos químicos publicados para la evaluación de este producto, además de una revisión de grandes factores característicos presentados en datos publicados en la literatura brasileña utilidad en el ámbito industrial en el área de alimentos, cosméticos y biocombustibles, con el fin de sumar al desarrollo de posibles aplicaciones del aceite de nuez de Brasil. Por lo tanto, los métodos tradicionales de productos (por prensado de solventes y subproductos presentados) son aún más utilizados en la industria debido a su mejor rendimiento y características químicas estables, mientras que metodologías alternativas de productos, como el uso de solventes verdes, solventes en estado supercrítico y Las condiciones ultrasónicas de uso tienen condiciones que impiden la viabilidad de usos a gran escala.A Amazônia é uma região rica em biodiversidade de fauna e flora onde existem diversas espécies vegetais que possuem potencial de produção de fármacos, cosméticos, combustíveis e alimentos de forma geral. Dessa forma, a castanha-do-Brasil (Bertholletia excelsa H.B.K) é estabelecida como fonte alimentícia de povos oriundos desta região. Além disso, o óleo vegetal de castanha-do-Brasil, extraído por várias técnicas, é estudado com base em seu potencial lipídico e antioxidante. O presente trabalho objetivou comparar os métodos de extração empregados no óleo de castanha-do-Brasil com base em dados publicados na literatura considerando análises físico-químicas comumente realizadas para avaliar esse produto, além de uma revisão de fatores característicos de matérias-primas de grande utilidade em âmbito industrial na área alimentícia, de cosméticos e de biocombustíveis, de modo a agregar no desenvolvimento de possíveis aplicações para o óleo de castanha-do-Brasil.
