The use of drawings as an evaluation instrument for science knowledge: the solar system

Resumo: The use of alternative teaching methodologies has been generating positive results in the teaching-learning process. Thus, science education needs to use teaching strategies that enhance students' interest. The objective was to demonstrate that the use of these alternative didactic resources, through the use of drawings, which allies the theory promotes significant improvement in the understanding of the contents covered in science classes, having as its theme, the solar system. The work was developed by undergraduate students of the course of Biological Sciences of the Federal Institute of Rondônia during the conduction of the curricular regency, in which the activities were carried out with students from two sixth elementary school of a state school in the municipality of Ariquemes, Rondônia, and used the drawings as a teaching tool. It was observed that with the use of different resources and methodologies to approach the subject, students are more motivated and interested, and consequently became more active in the teaching-learning process. In addition, after the class can be seen that there was a significant increase in the amount of correctness in the amount and order of planets identified in the drawings of the students of both classes.

Por lo tanto, la enseñanza de las ciencias necesita utilizar estrategias de enseñanza que mejoren el interés de los estudiantes. El objetivo era demostrar que el uso de estos recursos didácticos alternativos, a través de dibujos, que aliados a la teoría promueven una mejora significativa en la comprensión de los contenidos cubiertos en las clases de Ciencias, teniendo como tema el sistema solar. El trabajo fué desarrollado por estudiantes de pregrado en del curso de Ciencias Biológicas en del Instituto Federal de Rondônia durante la pasantía del curso, en el que las actividades se llevaron a cabo con estudiantes de dos clases de sexto grado en una escuela estatal en el municipio de Ariquemes. - Rondônia, y utiliza dibujos como herramienta de enseñanza. Se pudo observar que con el uso de diferentes recursos y metodologías para abordar el tema, los estudiantes están más motivados e interesados y, en consecuencia, se vuelven más activos en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Además, después de la clase, se puede ver que hubo un aumento significativo en el número de respuestas correctas y en la cantidad y el orden de los planetas identificados en los dibujos de los estudiantes de ambas clases.A utilização de metodologias alternativas de ensino vem gerando resultados positivos no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Dessa forma, o ensino de ciências precisa utilizar-se de estratégias de ensino que agucem o interesse dos alunos. Objetivou-se demonstrar que o uso de recursos didáticos alternativos, por meio de desenhos, aliados a teoria promovem melhoria significativa na compreensão dos conteúdos abordados nas aulas de Ciências, tendo como tema, o sistema solar. O trabalho foi desenvolvido por acadêmicas do curso de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas do Instituto Federal de Rondônia durante a regência do estágio curricular, na qual as atividades foram realizadas com alunos de duas turmas de sexto ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola estadual no município de Ariquemes – Rondônia, tendo como ferramenta de ensino os desenhos. Foi possível observar que ao empregar diferentes recursos e metodologias para a abordagem do assunto, os alunos se mostraram mais motivados e interessados, e consequentemente se tornaram mais ativos no processo de ensino-aprendizagem.
