Artificial intelligence in virtual teaching and learning environments: A model proposal

Resumo: Among the technologies that impact contemporary life, Artificial Intelligence (AI) stands out for its influence on social and production relations in various areas, such as finance, retail, mobility, health and education. Among these, the Learning Management System (LMS) deserve to be highlighted, they are used as didactic and technological tools, characterized by incorporating technologies throughout their history. This article aimed to propose a virtual teaching and learning environment model from the creation of intelligent agents that will act as support and sensors for the teaching and learning stages. Contributing to advance the solution of the question: how can Artificial Intelligence techniques, when incorporated into LMS, add value in the teaching and learning process by increasing the interaction between agents? Qualified as a qualitative study, oriented to phenomenological processes with exploratory objective using documentary techniques, the research followed a methodological path considering the realization of literature review that contributed to the construction of the state of the art, followed by the application of research techniques, collection and analysis of data that contributed to support the construction of the proposed model and subsequent validation with specialists. In the end, it was possible to structure the LMS model with AI techniques that can add value to teaching and learning relationships, paving the way for the expansion of the discussion with the scientific community, as well as serving as a reference for possible materialization of the proposal.

Entre ellas, merecen destacar los Entornos Virtuales de Enseñanza y Aprendizaje (EVEA), que se utilizan como herramientas didácticas y tecnológicas, que se caracterizan por incorporar tecnologías a lo largo de su historia. Este artículo tenía como objetivo proponer un modelo virtual de entorno de enseñanza y aprendizaje a partir de la creación de agentes inteligentes que actuarán como apoyo y sensores para las etapas de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Contribuir a avanzar en la solución de la pregunta: ¿cómo pueden las técnicas de Inteligencia Artificial, cuando se incorporan a aveas, agregar valor en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje aumentando la interacción entre agentes? Calificada como estudio cualitativo, orientada a procesos fenomenológicos con objetivo exploratorio mediante técnicas documentales, la investigación siguió un camino metodológico considerando la realización de una revisión literaria que contribuyó a la construcción del estado de la técnica, seguida de la aplicación de técnicas de investigación, recopilación y análisis de datos que contribuyeron a apoyar la construcción del modelo propuesto y la posterior validación con especialistas. Al final, fue posible estructurar el modelo EVEA con técnicas de IA que pueden añadir valor a las relaciones de enseñanza y aprendizaje, allanando el camino para la expansión del debate con la comunidad científica, además de servir de referencia para una posible materialización de la propuesta.Dentre as tecnologias que impactam a vida contemporânea, a Inteligência Artificial (IA) se destaca pela influência nas relações sociais e de produção em diversas áreas, tais como finanças, varejo, mobilidade, saúde e educação. Dentre essas, merecem destaque os Ambientes Virtuais de Ensino e Aprendizagem (AVEA), eles são utilizados como ferramentas didáticas e tecnológicas, se caracterizando por incorporar tecnologias ao longo da sua história. Este artigo teve o objetivo de propor um modelo de Ambiente Virtual de Ensino e Aprendizagem a partir da criação de agentes inteligentes que irão atuar como suporte e sensores para as etapas de ensino e aprendizagem. Contribuindo para avançar na solução da questão: como as técnicas de Inteligência Artificial, quando incorporadas em AVEAs, podem agregar valor no processo de ensino e aprendizagem aumentando a interação entre os agentes? Qualificada como um estudo de abordagem qualitativa, orientado a processos fenomenológicos com objetivo exploratório utilizando técnicas documentais, a pesquisa seguiu um percurso metodológico considerando a realização de revisão de literatura que contribuiu para construção do estado da arte, seguida da aplicação de técnicas de pesquisa, coleta e análise de dados que contribuíram para fundamentar a construção do modelo proposto e posterior validação com especialistas.
