Resumo: The study aimed to describe the characteristics of the training of nurses in the Family Health Strategy of a microregion of health in Ceará. Exploratory research, under the quantitative approach, based on a case study, developed from July to September 2019, with 64 nurses of the 12th Health Regional of Ceará. The collection took place through a Google Forms® questionnaire and the data were analyzed using R software. Most nurses studied Nursing at a private institution (62.5%); as for the course modality, there was a predominance of two, integral and morning, 42.2%, respectively; 15.6% studied or are studying another graduation; 25% attended nursing assistants or technicians. The research data allow us to subsidize the construction of public policies based on the local reality, for professional development and the Unified Health System at the regional level.

The research data allow us to subsidize the construction of public policies based on the local reality, for professional development and the Unified Health System at the regional level.El estudio tuvo como objetivo describir las características de la formación de enfermeros de la Estrategia Salud de la Familia de una microrregión de salud de Ceará. Investigación exploratoria, con abordaje cuantitativo, basada en un estudio de caso, desarrollado en el período de julio a septiembre de 2019, con 64 enfermeros de la 12ª Regional de Salud de Ceará. La recolección de datos se hizo mediante cuestionario de Google Forms® y los datos fueron analizados utilizando software R. La mayoría de los enfermeros cursó Enfermería en institución privada (62,5%); en cuanto a la modalidad del curso hubo predominio de dos, integral y matinal, 42,2%, respectivamente; 15,6% cursaron o están cursando otra graduación; 25% cursaron auxiliar o técnico de enfermería. Los datos de la investigación permiten ayudar en la construcción de políticas públicas con base en la realidad local, para el desarrollo profesional y del Sistema Único de Salud en ámbito regional.O estudo objetivou descrever as características da formação de enfermeiros da Estratégia Saúde da Família de uma microrregião da saúde do Ceará. Pesquisa exploratória, sob a abordagem quantitativa, baseada num estudo de caso, desenvolvido no período de julho a setembro de 2019, com 64 enfermeiros da 12ª Regional da Saúde do Ceará. A coleta ocorreu por meio de questionário do Google Forms® e os dados foram analisados utilizando software R. Os enfermeiros em sua maioria cursaram Enfermagem em instituição privada (62,5%); quanto à modalidade do curso ocorreu o predomínio de duas, integral e matutino, 42,2%, respectivamente; 15,6% cursaram ou estão cursando outra graduação; 25% cursaram auxiliar ou técnico de enfermagem.
