Environmental education in today's society: An experience in the school network

Resumo: Environmental issues are often being discussed in society. The Environmental Education implemented in schools appears to be as an important educational tool, which seeks to raise awareness and stimulate the student to look around and feel an integral part of this environment, also contributing to the improvement of the quality of life, as well as the training of citizens aware. The BIOEDUCA project involved 55 students from the 2nd to 5th year of the Municipal School "Rosina Rodrigues Soares Silva" in the municipality of Barão de Cocais - MG. The environmental theme was approached in a dynamic and interactive way with the children, through lectures, group dynamics and practical activities aiming at the knowledge about the preservation of natural resources, the 3Rs and cycles of the materials. The students demonstrated interest and behavior change during the development of the work. The educational action demonstrated effectiveness in the transference of concepts about the environment and sustainability.

La Educación Ambiental implantada en las escuelas se muestra como una importante herramienta educativa que busca concientizar y estimular al alumnado a mirar a su alrededor y sentirse parte integrante de este medio, contribuyendo también en la mejora de la calidad de vida, así como la formación de ciudadanos consciente. El proyecto BIOEDUCA involucró a 55 alumnos del 2º al 5º año de la Escuela Municipal "Rosina Rodrigues Soares Silva" en el municipio de Barão de Cocais - MG. La temática ambiental fue abordada de forma dinámica e interactiva con los niños, a través de charlas, dinámicas de grupo y actividades prácticas visando el conocimiento sobre la preservación de recursos naturales, los "3Rs" y ciclos de los materiales. Los estudiantes demostraron interés y cambio de comportamiento durante el desarrollo del trabajo. La acción educativa demostró eficacia en la transferencia de los conceptos sobre el medio ambiente y la sostenibilidad.As questões ambientais estão frequentemente sendo discutidas na sociedade. A Educação Ambiental implantada nas escolas mostra-se como uma importante ferramenta educativa, que busca conscientizar e estimular o discente a olhar a sua volta e se sentir parte integrante deste meio, contribuindo também na melhoria da qualidade de vida, bem como a formação de cidadãos conscientes. O presente artigo tem como objetivo relatar práticas de Educação ambiental implantadas a um grupo de 55 alunos do 2º ao 5º ano da Escola Municipal “Rosina Rodrigues Soares Silva” no município de Barão de Cocais – MG. A temática ambiental foi abordada de forma dinâmica e interativa com as crianças, através de palestras, dinâmicas de grupo e atividades práticas visando o conhecimento sobre a preservação de recursos naturais, os “3Rs” e ciclos dos materiais. Os estudantes demonstraram interesse e mudança de comportamento durante o desenvolvimento do trabalho.
