Nursing team knowledge about humanized childbirth

Resumo: Objective: to identify the level of knowledge about humanized childbirth of nursing professionals who work in the obstetric center of a medium-sized hospital in the interior of the state of Maranhão. Methodology: cross-sectional, descriptive study with a quantitative approach, using a questionnaire that addresses sociodemographic data and nurses' knowledge about humanized childbirth, containing a total of 24 questions distributed in 3 sections: the first consisting of 8 questions that characterize the sample; the second corresponds to a scale of 12 statements consisting of True/False, in order to assess the knowledge of professionals about the humanization of childbirth and the third consisting of 4 statements of the True/False type, in order to assess the knowledge of the professionals. professionals regarding the humanization policy. Results: The sample consisted of 10 nurses and 20 nursing technicians. According to the data analysis, about 2 (6.67%) of the nurses have a postgraduate degree in obstetrics; about 20 (66.67%) of the professionals did not receive training on humanized childbirth; and only 5 (17%) of the professionals received training on humanized childbirth offered by the institution. Regarding the knowledge assessment score, the professionals performed well, 11 (37%) reached a score of 13 and 6 (20%) reached 12 points, showing relevant knowledge about humanized childbirth. Conclusion: The team demonstrated knowledge about humanized childbirth, but there is still a need for investment in continuing education, as our results suggest that professionals still have doubts about some questions about humanized childbirth.

Metodología: estudio transversal, descriptivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, utilizando un cuestionario que aborda datos sociodemográficos y conocimientos de las enfermeras sobre el parto humanizado, con un total de 24 preguntas distribuidas en 3 secciones: la primera compuesta por 8 preguntas que caracterizan la muestra; la segunda corresponde a una escala de 12 afirmaciones compuesta por Verdadero/Falso, con el fin de evaluar el conocimiento de los profesionales sobre la humanización del parto y la tercera compuesta por 4 afirmaciones del tipo Verdadero/Falso, con el objetivo de evaluar el conocimiento de los profesionales profesionales sobre la política de humanización. Resultados: La muestra estuvo conformada por 10 enfermeros y 20 técnicos de enfermería. Según el análisis de los datos, cerca de 2 (6,67%) de los enfermeros tienen posgrado en obstetricia; cerca de 20 (66,67%) de los profesionales no recibieron capacitación sobre parto humanizado; y solo 5 (17%) de los profesionales recibieron capacitación sobre parto humanizado ofrecida por la institución. En cuanto a la puntuación de la evaluación del conocimiento, los profesionales se desempeñaron bien, 11 (37%) alcanzaron una puntuación de 13 y 6 (20%) alcanzaron 12 puntos, mostrando conocimientos relevantes sobre el parto humanizado. Conclusión: El equipo demostró conocimiento sobre el parto humanizado, pero todavía hay necesidad de inversión en educación continua, ya que nuestros resultados sugieren que los profesionales todavía tienen dudas sobre algunas preguntas sobre el parto humanizado.Objetivo: identificar o nível de conhecimento sobre parto humanizado dos profissionais de enfermagem que atuam no centro obstétrico de um hospital de médio porte no interior do estado do Maranhão. Metodologia: estudo transversal, descritivo com uma abordagem quantitativa, sendo utilizado um questionário que aborda dados sociodemográficos e o conhecimento do enfermeiro acerca do parto humanizado, contendo o total de 24 questões distribuídas em 3 seções: sendo a primeira constituída por 8 questões que caracterizam a amostra; a segunda corresponde a uma escala de 12 afirmações constituídas de Verdadeiro/Falso, a fim de se avaliar o conhecimento dos profissionais sobre a humanização do parto e a terceira constituída de 4 afirmações do tipo Verdadeiro/Falso, a fim de se avaliar o conhecimento dos profissionais referente à política de humanização. Resultados: A amostra foi constituída por 10 enfermeiros e 20 técnicos de enfermagem. De acordo com a análise dos dados cerca de 2 (6,67%) dos enfermeiros possuem pós-graduação em obstetrícia; cerca de 20 (66,67%) dos profissionais não receberam treinamento sobre parto humanizado; e apenas 5 (17%) dos profissionais receberam treinamento sobre parto humanizado oferecido pela instituição. Com relação à pontuação da avaliação do conhecimento, os profissionais obtiveram um bom desempenho, 11 (37%) atingiram a pontuação 13 e 6 (20%) alcançaram 12 pontos mostrando um conhecimento relevante sobre parto humanizado.
