Resumo: | The objective of this study is to describe the role of technology within Education, outlining positive and negative points of its use in schools. The present investigation is characterized as a bibliographical research, of a qualitative nature, as well as being classified as a basic and exploratory research. To collect data, the search platform “Google Scholar” was used, using the descriptors “Technologies and Education”. The objective was not to establish a current state of knowledge, but to find works that discussed the topic of Technology and Education, so that, based on the views of different authors, there could be a debate on the topic. The delimitation of the searches was from 2016 to 2023. The analysis of the results took place through exclusion, separation and interpretation of the findings. Among the main results obtained, it can be said that technology has existed since the beginning of humanity, but due to the transformations that the world has undergone today, it grows and evolves rapidly, becoming part of people's daily lives and present in the most different and varied sectors of work, commerce, industries, leisure, studies, etc. It was seen that its use in education is necessary, as it is part of students' daily lives, but for its use to be effective and to provide meaningful learning, teachers need to have good training. Some positive points found are that technology can promote student learning if used as a means, it can also motivate young people and reduce time and space, one of its negative points is that in many cases it can serve as a distraction. |

La presente investigación se caracteriza por ser una investigación bibliográfica, de carácter cualitativo, además de catalogarse como una investigación básica y exploratoria. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó la plataforma de búsqueda “Google Scholar”, utilizando los descriptores “Tecnologías y Educación”. El objetivo no fue establecer un estado actual del conocimiento, sino encontrar trabajos que trataran el tema de Tecnología y Educación, para que, a partir de las opiniones de diferentes autores, pudiera haber un debate sobre el tema. La delimitación de las búsquedas fue del año 2016 al 2023. El análisis de los resultados se realizó mediante exclusión, separación e interpretación de los hallazgos. Entre los principales resultados obtenidos se puede decir que la tecnología ha existido desde los inicios de la humanidad, pero debido a las transformaciones que ha experimentado el mundo en la actualidad, crece y evoluciona rápidamente, pasando a formar parte de la vida cotidiana de las personas y presente en los más diferentes. y sectores variados del trabajo, comercio, industrias, ocio, estudios, etc. Se vio que su uso en educación es necesario, ya que forma parte del día a día de los estudiantes, pero para que su uso sea efectivo y proporcione aprendizajes significativos es necesario que los docentes cuenten con una buena formación. Algunos puntos positivos encontrados son que la tecnología puede promover el aprendizaje de los estudiantes si se utiliza como medio, también puede motivar a los jóvenes y reducir tiempo y espacio, uno de sus puntos negativos es que en muchos casos puede servir como distracción.O objetivo deste estudo é descrever o papel da tecnologia dentro da Educação, traçando pontos positivos e negativos de seu uso nas escolas. A presente investigação se caracteriza como uma pesquisa bibliográfica, de caráter qualitativo, bem como se classifica como uma pesquisa básica e exploratória. Para a coleta de dados utilizou-se a plataforma de busca “Google Acadêmico”, com uso dos descritores “Tecnologias and Educação”. O objetivo não foi fazer um estado atual do conhecimento, mas encontrar trabalhos que discutiam a temática Tecnologia e Educação, para que a partir das visões de diferentes autores haver um debate sobre a temática. A delimitação das buscas foi de 2016 a 2023. A análise dos resultados aconteceu por meio da exclusão, separação e interpretação dos achados. Entre os principais resultados obtidos pode-se dizer que a tecnologia existe desde o princípio da humanidade, mas devido às transformações que o mundo já passou hoje ela cresce e evolui aceleradamente, fazendo parte do cotidiano das pessoas e presente nos mais diferentes e variados setores de trabalho, comércio, indústrias, lazer, estudos, etc. Viu-se que é necessário seu uso na educação, pois ela faz parte do cotidiano dos alunos, mas para que seu uso seja efetivo e possa proporcionar aprendizagens significativas os professores precisam ter uma boa formação.
