Polytechnic education, cyberculture and emergency remote teaching: a study of practices adopted at the Postgraduate Program in Vocational and Technological Education (PROFEPT)

Resumo: With the emergence of the new coronavirus in China and its rapid spread around the world, the World Health Organization classified the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic bringing radical changes to many countries. Several dimensions of society were affected, including education. While some institutions decided to paralyze their activities, others decided to adopt emergency remote teaching as a way to maintain education. In this sense, knowing the relationship between cyberculture and knowledge is fundamental to propose educational practices mediated by Information and Communication Digital Technologies in the pandemic context. This article aims to explore the pedagogical practices adopted by the Postgraduate Program in Vocational and Technological Education in order to maintain academic activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. To this end, the bibliographic and exploratory researches were adopted to map the activities carried out throughout the discipline Educational Practices in Vocational and Technological Education and to deepen the knowledge on emergency remote teaching and its impacts on the teaching and learning process. The study concluded that emergency remote teaching contributed to the achievement of the discipline Educational Practices in Vocational and Technological Education in an integrated manner with the assumptions of polytechnic and omnilateral education.

Mientras que algunas instituciones decidieron paralizar sus actividades, otras decidieron adoptar la enseñanza remota de emergencia como una forma de mantener la educación. En este sentido, conocer la relación entre la cibercultura y el conocimiento es fundamental para proponer prácticas educativas mediadas por las tecnologías digitales de información y comunicación en el contexto de la pandemia. Este artículo tiene como objetivo explorar las prácticas pedagógicas adoptadas por el Programa de Postgrado en Educación Profesional y Tecnológica para mantener las actividades académicas durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Para ello, se adoptaron las investigaciones bibliográficas y exploratorias para mapear las actividades realizadas en toda la asignatura Prácticas Educativas en la Educación Profesional y Tecnológica y para profundizar en el conocimiento de la enseñanza remota de emergencia y sus repercusiones en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje. En el estudio se llegó a la conclusión de que la enseñanza remota de emergencia contribuyó a la consecución de la asignatura Prácticas Educativas en la Educación Profesional y Tecnológica de manera integrada con los supuestos de la educación politécnica y omnilateral.Com o surgimento do novo coronavírus na China e sua rápida disseminação pelo mundo, a Organização Mundial da Saúde classificou o surto de COVID-19 como pandemia trazendo mudanças radicais em vários países. Diversas áreas da sociedade foram afetadas, inclusive a educação. Enquanto algumas instituições decidiram paralisar suas atividades, outras decidiram adotar o ensino remoto emergencial como forma de manter o ensino. Nesse sentido, conhecer a relação entre a cibercultura e o saber é fundamental para propor práticas educacionais mediadas pelas tecnologias digitais da informação e comunicação no contexto pandêmico. Este artigo tem como objetivo explorar as práticas pedagógicas adotadas pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação Profissional e Tecnológica com intuito de manter as atividades acadêmicas durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Para tanto, pesquisas bibliográfica e exploratória foram adotadas para mapear as atividades realizadas ao longo da disciplina Práticas Educativas em Educação Profissional e Tecnológica e aprofundar o conhecimento sobre o ensino remoto emergencial e suas repercussões no processo de ensino e aprendizagem.
