Studygrams and professional training in Nutrition: report of an experience in Food and Nutritional Education

Resumo: | Social networks on the Internet are becoming a new space-time for learning and sharing content on different topics. In this experience report, we use Instagram as a pedagogical means for scientific dissemination and academic training of future nutritionists. Thus, this work aimed to analyze how the creation and management of a Studygram on EAN, developed by nutritionists in training, participants in an extension project, contributed to the improvement of the undergraduate and the popularization of healthy and balanced eating habits. The results reveal that the process of research, organization and production of content to be shared in Studygrams required efforts such as adapting the technical language, so that the information became clearer and more objective; customized and standardized aesthetics; monitoring of scientific news and posting metrics; formation of partnerships with similar interest profiles, among others. The dynamics of construction and management of Studygrams during a university extension project was enriching for the members as it favored the expansion of knowledge in nutrition and the development of skills and competences for the professional performance of the nutritionist in the virtual environment. In addition, we defend, from our experiences, that social networks such as Instagram can be useful tools for Food and Nutrition Education, as they constitute an open, interactive and customizable environment, favoring the development of health promotion actions. |

En este relato de experiencia utilizamos Instagram como medio pedagógico de divulgación científica y formación académica de los futuros nutricionistas. Así, este trabajo tuvo como objetivo analizar cómo la creación y gestión de un Studygram sobre EAN, desarrollado por nutricionistas en formación, participantes de un proyecto de extensión, contribuyó para la superación del pregrado y la popularización de hábitos alimentarios saludables y equilibrados. Los resultados revelan que el proceso de investigación, organización y producción de contenidos para ser compartidos en Studygrams requirió esfuerzos como la adecuación del lenguaje técnico, para que la información fuera más clara y objetiva; estética personalizada y estandarizada; seguimiento de noticias científicas y métricas de publicación; formación de sociedades con perfiles de interés similares, entre otros. La dinámica de construcción y manejo de Studygrams durante un proyecto de extensión universitaria fue enriquecedora para los integrantes pues favoreció la ampliación de conocimientos en nutrición y el desarrollo de habilidades y competencias para el desempeño profesional del nutricionista en el entorno virtual. Además, defendemos, desde nuestras experiencias, que las redes sociales como Instagram pueden ser herramientas útiles para la Educación Alimentaria y Nutricional, ya que constituyen un entorno abierto, interactivo y personalizable, favoreciendo el desarrollo de acciones de promoción de la salud.As redes sociais da Internet estão se constituindo como um novo espaçotempo de aprendizado e compartilhamento de conteúdos sobre diversas temáticas. Neste relato de experiência, utilizamos o Instagram como um meio pedagógico para divulgação científica e formação acadêmica de futuros nutricionistas. Desse modo, este trabalho objetivou analisar de que forma a criação e o gerenciamento de um Studygram sobre EAN, desenvolvido por nutricionistas em formação, participantes de um projeto de extensão, contribuiu para o aprimoramento do graduando e na popularização de hábitos alimentares saudáveis e equilibrados. Os resultados revelam que o processo de pesquisa, organização e produção de conteúdo para serem compartilhados em Studygrams exigiram esforços como adaptação da linguagem técnica, para que as informações se tornassem mais claras e objetivas; estética personalizada e padronizada; acompanhamento de novidades científicas e das métricas das postagens; formação de parcerias com perfis de interesses similares, dentre outros. A dinâmica de construção e gerenciamento de Studygrams durante um projeto de extensão universitária foi enriquecedor para os integrantes na medida em que favoreceu a ampliação dos conhecimentos em nutrição e o desenvolvimento de habilidades e competências para a atuação profissional do nutricionista no meio virtual.
