Resumo: This article aims to reflect on the place of storytelling in the integral formation process. Conceived as an active methodology, this practice, by allowing students to experience experiences that awaken the various human dimensions, contributes to the construction of knowledge in a meaningful learning process. For this reflection, we used exploratory research, which comprises the first stage of a broader investigation (Gil, 2008) and focuses on the reading of theoretical texts on the subject. The broader investigation, in this context, is a research carried out at the professional master's level, whose product is a "Workshop Notebook" which suggests activities with storytelling aimed at high school students. After reading the theoretical framework, corresponding to the exploratory research, we concluded that storytelling as an active methodology contributes to the integral formation of students due to its humanized character, providing dynamism and creativity in the teaching and learning process.

Concebida como una metodología activa, esta práctica, al permitir que los estudiantes vivan experiencias que despierten las diversas dimensiones humanas, contribuye a la construcción del conocimiento en un proceso de aprendizaje significativo. Para esta reflexión, utilizamos la investigación exploratoria, que comprende la primera etapa de una investigación más amplia (Gil, 2008) y se centra en la lectura de textos teóricos sobre el tema. La investigación más amplia, en este contexto, es una investigación realizada a nivel de maestría profesional, cuyo producto es un “Cuaderno de Taller” que sugiere actividades con narraciones dirigidas a estudiantes de secundaria. Luego de la lectura del marco teórico, correspondiente a la investigación exploratoria, concluimos que la narración de cuentos como metodología activa contribuye a la formación integral de los estudiantes por su carácter humanizado, brindando dinamismo y creatividad en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje.O presente artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre o lugar da contação de história no processo de formação integral. Concebida como metodologia ativa, essa prática, ao permitir os alunos a vivenciarem experiências que despertam as diversas dimensões humanas, contribuem para a construção do conhecimento num processo de aprendizagem significativa. Para essa reflexão, utilizamos a pesquisa exploratória, a qual compreende a primeira etapa de uma investigação mais ampla (Gil, 2008) e se centra na leitura de textos teóricos acerca do tema.  A investigação mais ampla, nesse contexto, é uma pesquisa realizada em nível de mestrado profissional, cujo produto é um “Caderno de Oficinas” o qual sugere atividades com contação de histórias destinadas a alunos de Ensino Médio.
