Approach to eliasian and bourdieusian concepts: analysis model in Physical Education research

Resumo: This theoretical essay aims to approach the Eliasian and Bourdieusian concepts, even bearing in mind that a depth is uncertain, since synthesizing Elias and Bourdieu in a single essay is, at least, improbable. The basic principles of “procedural sociology”, the relationship between “sociogenesis” and “psychogenesis” and the concepts of “second nature”, “configuration” and “webs of interdependence” in Norbert Elias' work are revisited. While in Pierre Bourdieu's “symbolic sociology”, the concepts of “social fields”; the “capital” principles; the ​​“habitus” idea; and the “reproduction theory” are highlighted. Thus, in addition to contribute to the body of knowledge, either in relation to scientific literacy in the great area of ​​Health Sciences, or in relation to the paradigmatic restructuring of research on Physical Education regarding the school educational action, in particular, the approach comes to cooperate with the proposal to bring together different areas of knowledge (Philosophy, Sociology, History, Psychology). It should be noted that Physical Education itself, as it is considered a practice of immediate social intervention, lacks (still) theoretical-methodological assumptions capable to define its own analysis model regarding scientific research.

Se revisan los principios básicos de la “sociología procedimental”; la relación entre “sociogénesis” y “psicogénesis”; y los conceptos de “segunda naturaleza”, de “configuración” y de las “redes de interdependencia” en la obra de Norbert Elias. Mientras que en la “sociología simbólica” de Pierre Bourdieu, los conceptos de “campos sociales” son evidentes; los principios del “capital”; la idea de “habitus”; y la “teoría de la reproducción”. Así, además de contribuir al cuerpo de conocimientos, ya sea en relación a la alfabetización científica en la gran área de las Ciencias de la Salud, ya sea en relación a la reestructuración paradigmática de la investigación en Educación Física respecto a la acción educativa de la escuela, en particular, el enfoque coopera con la propuesta de acercar las diferentes áreas del conocimiento (Filosofía, Sociología, Historia, Psicología). Cabe señalar que la propia Educación Física, por ser considerada una práctica de intervención social inmediata, carece (todavía) de presupuestos teórico-metodológicos capaces de definir un modelo de análisis propio con respecto a la investigación científica.Este ensaio-teórico visa a abordar os conceitos eliasianos e bourdieusianos, mesmo tendo em mente que uma profundidade é incerta, dado que sintetizar Elias e Bourdieu em um único ensaio é, no mínimo, improvável. São revisitados os princípios básicos da “sociologia processual”; a relação entre “sociogênese” e “psicogênese”; e os conceitos de “segunda natureza”, de “configuração” e das “teias de interdependência” da obra de Norbert Elias. Ao passo que na “sociologia simbólica”, de Pierre Bourdieu, evidenciam-se os conceitos de “campos sociais”; os princípios de “capital”; a ideia de “habitus”; e a “teoria da reprodução”. Assim, além de contribuir para o corpo do conhecimento, quer em relação à literacia científica da grande área das Ciências da Saúde, quer em relação à reestruturação paradigmática da investigação em Educação Física quanto à ação educativa da escola, em particular, a abordagem vem cooperar com a proposta de aproximar as diversas áreas do conhecimento (Filosofia, Sociologia, História, Psicologia).
