Thoughts on Teaching, Research, Outreach, and Administrative Activities of lecturers in engineering courses at three Federal Universities

Resumo: | inseparability of the teaching, research and outreach triad, which is directly listed in the Brazilian Federal Constitution. In addition to these planned activities, federal higher education professors also dedicate time to the administrative activities of the institutions in which they work. Through the analysis of data from the curricula available on the CNPq Lattes platform, a comparative quantitative study of the faculty of engineering courses from three federal universities, was carried out. The distribution of professors' activities between teaching, research, extension and administrative activities among the three institutions was examined. From the results obtained in this work, it became clear the discrepancy that Brazil presents in its universities, for not having a system that determines the ideal way to distribute the teaching activities, as well as for not offering the necessary conditions for their adequate and satisfactory development. |

A través del análisis de datos de los currículos disponibles en la plataforma Lattes del CNPq de la facultad de carreras de ingeniería de tres universidades federales, se realizó un estudio cuantitativo comparativo sobre la distribución de las actividades de los profesores entre actividades de docencia, investigación, extensión y administrativas. entre las tres instituciones. De los resultados obtenidos en este trabajo, se hizo evidente la discrepancia que presenta Brasil en sus universidades, por no contar con un ordenamiento jurídico que determine la forma idónea de distribuir la actividad docente, así como por no ofrecer las condiciones necesarias para la adecuada y desarrollo satisfactorio de la actividad docente actividad docente en todas las áreas requeridas y previstas en la legislación brasileña.Dentre os deveres e direitos previstos nas leis que regem o ensino superior, um dos mais importantes é a indissociabilidade entre ensino, pesquisa e extensão elencada diretamente na Constituição Federal Brasileira. Além dessas atividades previstas, os professores de ensino superior federal também dedicam tempo às atividades administrativas das instituições em que trabalham. Através de análise de dados dos currículos diponíveis na plataforma Lattes do CNPq do corpo docente dos cursos de engenharia de três universidades federais, foi feito um estudo quantitativo comparativo da distribuição de atividades dos docentes entre ensino, pesquisa, extensão e atividades administrativas entre as três instituições.
