Teachers women in the coordination of the Bachelor of Science and Technology: between achievements and challenges

Resumo: The origin of the Bachelor of Science and Technology of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) is closely related to the Program to Support Restructuring and Expansion Plans of Federal Universities (REUNI) that took place in Brazilian federal public universities in 2008 Throughout the history of the baccalaureate it is possible to see the expansion of the spaces of participation of the female teachers in the functions of leadership and management. So, the objective of the present study is to investigate the female presence during the 10 years of the Bachelor of Science & Technology in front of the course coordination emphasizing achievements and challenges. With regard to methodology, it can be said that this is a qualitative research of a historical character with a biographical approach, which makes use of narratives and the analytical strategy of immersion and hermeneutic contemplation. As for the methodological procedures, two sources are used for the collection of empirical material: documentary source with the analysis of the Political Project Pedagogical of the Bachelor and the Internal Regiment of the School of Sciences & Technology and; empirical source with the accomplishment of narrative interviews to know the achievements and challenges through the lines of the teachers who worked / work in the coordination of the course. Finally, the study evidenced the process of feminization of management personnel at UFRN, in particular the coordination of the Bachelor of Science and Technology, the major undergraduate course in the State of Rio Grande do Norte.

De modo que el objetivo del presente estudio es investigar la presencia femenina a lo largo de los 10 años del bachillerato en Ciencias & Tecnología al frente de la coordinación del curso enfatizando conquistas y desafíos. En lo que se refiere a la metodología, se puede decir que esta es una investigación cualitativa de carácter histórico con enfoque biográfico, que hace uso de narrativas y de la estrategia analítica de inmersión y contemplación hermenéutica. En cuanto a los procedimientos metodológicos se adoptan dos fuentes para la recolección de material empírico: fuente documental con el análisis del Proyecto Político Pedagógico del Bachillerato y el Reglamento interno de la Escuela de Ciencias & Tecnología; fuente empírica con la realización de entrevistas narrativas para conocer las conquistas y desafíos a través de las palabras de los docentes que trabajaron / trabajan en la coordinación del curso. Por último, el estudio evidenció el proceso de feminización de los cuadros de gestión en la UFRN, en especial de la coordinación del Bachillerato en Ciencias & Tecnología, mayor curso de graduación del Estado de Rio Grande do Norte.A origem do bacharelado em Ciências & Tecnologia da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) está intimamente relacionada ao Programa de Apoio a Planos de Reestruturação e Expansão das Universidades Federais (REUNI) ocorrido nas universidades públicas federais brasileiras a partir do ano de 2008. Ao longo da história do bacharelado é visível a ampliação dos espaços de participação das docentes mulheres nas funções de chefia e gestão. De modo que o objetivo do presente estudo é investigar a presença feminina ao longo dos 10 anos do bacharelado em Ciências & Tecnologia a frente da coordenação do curso enfatizando conquistas e desafios. No que se refere à metodologia, pode-se dizer que esta é uma pesquisa qualitativa de caráter histórico com enfoque biográfico, que faz uso de narrativas e da estratégia analítica de imersão e contemplação hermenêutica. Quanto aos procedimentos metodológicos são adotadas duas fontes para coleta de material empírico: fonte documental com a análise do Projeto Político Pedagógico do Bacharelado e o Regimento interno da Escola de Ciências & Tecnologia e; fonte empírica com a realização de entrevistas narrativas para conhecer as conquistas e desafios através das falas das docentes que trabalharam/trabalham na coordenação do curso.
