Resumo: The birth of a child is a natural physiological phenomenon where a woman is a protagonist however, some health care practices can favor or limit the autonomy of women during labor, which is of paramount importance for the feeling of security during this process. The study analyzed the scientific productions about nursing practices that can interfere in the autonomy of women in childbirth and the birth of their children, comparing the advancement of women´s autonomy in thi process, if it contributes with valid information and knowledge for society in general. It was na integrative review of the literature with a qualitative approach. Data collection was performed on digital platforms such as SciELO, CAPES and VHL journals. The collected data were divided into two thematic groups according to the descriptors. 10 relevant articles were selected according to the inclusion criteris, of which, after the study, allowed the creation of two thematic categories: the impact of the types of delivery in which it was possible to verify that the type of delivery chosen has great influence during the process as after the same , it was also evidenced that the resumption of natural births with a minimum of intervention has been gaining space among the parturientes, and that the importance of the presence of nursing in childbirth showed that nursing professionals have a greater empathy for patients in a way private, caring and more humanized. Therefore, it was possible to realize that the resumption of natural childbirth, without unnecessary invasive interventions, is gradually becoming more common making it possible for women to participate in the births of their children. The nursing profession shows itself as a great link between humanized and natural childbirth and female autonomy, for encouraging it and for having a special and particular attention to the needs of each patient.

Research, Society and Development2020-12-13info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/1071710.33448/rsd-v9i12.10717Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 No. 12; e4191210717Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 Núm. 12; e4191210717Research, Society and Development; v. 9 n. 12; e41912107172525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/10717/9638Copyright (c) 2020 Lorenna do Nascimento Silva; Maria do Rosário Costa Silva; Nelson Jorge Carvalho Batistahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSilva, Lorenna do Nascimento Silva, Maria do Rosário Costa Batista, Nelson Jorge Carvalho2020-12-30T23:32:22Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/10717Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:32:43.614197Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
