Past and present projecting the future: lessons from the curricular reformulation of a nutrition course at a public university

Resumo: | The purpose of this article, was to report the experience of a change on a pedagogical proposal. The proposal considered the intention to overcome a traditional and centred curricular structure in a course with less integration, and, mostly, distant to the dietitians’ practice, driven by a collective effort with an emphasize in the main stages of the process. This change combined the theoretical assumption with the concept of higher education, as an element of training to graduate a health professional. This considered the interprofessional and disciplinary laws and regulations and the national curriculum as a legal and conceptual framework. The process was identified by collective and listening actions, including, course perceptions of first-year students, experiences and skills from dietitians, and profiles of senior-year students. Workshops with lecturers and students were done to analyze the course syllabus. Findings have shown that the pedagogical foundations comprehension of the architecture curriculum, allowed the development of an accessible environment with succeeding approaches between the proposal and reality. Finally, the qualification of all individuals involved, with institutional support, facilitate changes on learning practices as has been requested during COVID-19 period. |

Finally, the qualification of all individuals involved, with institutional support, facilitate changes on learning practices as has been requested during COVID-19 period.En este artículo relatamos una experiencia de reformulación de un proyecto pedagógico que asume la intención de superar una estructura curricular tradicional y centrada en una “grade de disciplinas” con poca integración y, muchas veces, alejada de la práctica profesional del nutricionista, impulsado por un esfuerzo colectivo con énfasis en las principales etapas del proceso. Esta reformulación contó con supuestos teóricos vinculados al concepto de la educación superior como elemento de formación humana, para la formación básica de un profesional de salud, contemplando la Ley de Lineamientos y Bases y los lineamientos curriculares nacionales como marcos legales y la interdisciplinaridad y interprofisionalidad como marcos conceptuales. El proceso estuvo marcado por acciones colectivas y de escucha, que consistieron en relevar la percepción de los egresados sobre el curso, definir las competencias y habilidades específicas del Nutricionista y definir el perfil del profesional a formar. El análisis de la estructura curricular se realizó a través de talleres con docentes y alumnos. Los resultados alcanzados, en cuanto a la comprensión de los fundamentos pedagógicos de la arquitectura curricular, permitieron la creación de un entorno permeable con sucesivas aproximaciones entre propuesta y realidad. La capacitación de los actores involucrados, con apoyo institucional, ha facilitado cambios en las prácticas docentes como las que se están demandando en el actual momento pandémico.Neste artigo, faz-se o relato de uma experiência de reformulação de um projeto pedagógico que assume a intencionalidade de superar uma estrutura curricular tradicional e centrada em “grade de disciplinas” com pouca integração e, muitas vezes, distante da prática profissional do nutricionista, impulsionada por um esforço coletivo com ênfase nas principais etapas do processo. Essa reformulação teve pressupostos teóricos vinculados à concepção de educação superior como elemento de formação humana, para a formação básica de um profissional de saúde, contemplando a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases e as diretrizes curriculares nacionais como marcos legais e a interdisciplinaridade e interprofissionalidade como marcos conceituais. O processo foi marcado por ações coletivas e de escuta, que consistiu no levantamento da percepção dos egressos sobre o curso, na definição das competências e habilidades específicas do Nutricionista e na definição do perfil do profissional a ser formado. A análise da estrutura curricular foi realizada por meio de Oficinas com docentes e discentes. Os resultados alcançados, no que se refere à compreensão dos fundamentos pedagógicos da arquitetura curricular, permitiram a criação de ambiente permeável com aproximações sucessivas entre proposta e realidade.
