Graduation in the area of health in times of pandemic from COVID-19: teaching the discipline of Health Promotion Practice and Disease Prevention

Resumo: Objective: to present the strategies adopted in the graduation of the health area of ​​a private institution in the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro for the teaching of the discipline of Practice of Health Promotion and Prevention of diseases in the context of the pandemic by COVID-19. Methodology: This is an experience report on remote teaching in undergraduate health at a private institution in the city of Rio de Janeiro, which was designed by two teachers and involved the discipline of health promotion and disease prevention practices, a component the curricular structure of health courses, with the exception of the medical course. Results: The structure of the discipline and its relevance for the training of students, the methodology proposed for teaching during the pandemic of COVID-19 and the strategies adopted by teachers to guide the teaching-learning process and to evaluate the student performance. Conclusion: The willingness of teachers to innovate to make the teaching of undergraduate health care more fluid in the pandemic times of COVID-19 proved to be necessary. In addition to sharing among teachers regarding the development of didactic material and propositional dialogues that involved the discipline, there was a significant effort aimed at building multiple learning strategies in order to generate greater interest, involvement and participation in students.

Metodología: Se trata de un informe de experiencia sobre la enseñanza a distancia en pregrado en salud en una institución privada de la ciudad de Río de Janeiro, el cual fue diseñado por dos docentes e involucró la disciplina de promoción de la salud y prácticas de prevención de enfermedades, un componente la estructura curricular de los cursos de salud, con excepción del curso de medicina. Resultados: La estructura de la disciplina y su relevancia para la formación de los estudiantes, la metodología propuesta para la enseñanza durante la pandemia de COVID-19 y las estrategias adoptadas por los docentes para orientar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje y evaluar el rendimiento de los estudiantes. Conclusión: La voluntad de los docentes de innovar para hacer más fluida la enseñanza de la salud de pregrado en tiempos de pandemia de COVID-19 resultó ser necesaria. Además de compartir entre docentes sobre la elaboración del material didáctico y los diálogos proposicionales que involucraba la disciplina, se hizo un esfuerzo significativo orientado a construir múltiples estrategias de aprendizaje con el fin de generar mayor interés, involucramiento y participación en los estudiantes.Objetivo: apresentar as estratégias adotadas na graduação da área da saúde de uma instituição privada do Município do Rio de Janeiro para o ensino da disciplina de Prática de Promoção da Saúde e Prevenção de doenças no contexto da pandemia por COVID-19. Metodologia: Trata-se de um relato de experiência sobre o ensino remoto na graduação da saúde de uma instituição privada do Município do Rio de Janeiro que foi delineado por dois docentes e envolveu a disciplina de práticas de promoção da saúde e prevenção de doenças, componente da estrutura curricular dos cursos da área da saúde, com exceção do curso de medicina. Resultados: Foram abordadas em sequência a estrutura da disciplina e sua relevância para a formação dos discentes, a metodologia proposta para o ensino durante a pandemia da COVID-19 e as estratégias adotadas pelos docentes para orientar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem e para avaliar o desempenho dos discentes. Conclusão: A disposição dos docentes em inovar para tornar o ensino da graduação da saúde mais fluído em tempos de pandemia da COVID-19 mostrou-se necessária.
