Resumo: Music is very rich in numerous aspects for moving and awakening the human being to experience knowledge, expression and socialization in learning. In Early Childhood Education, music can favor discoveries that facilitate the development and training process. In this perspective, the present study aims to: reflect on the contributions of music in child development. Therefore, the following specific objectives are outlined: Identify the evolution of the profile of music in the history of the human being and list the main contributions of music in human development, specifically for the child. The bibliographic research is anchored in the studies of some theorists such as RCNEI, Freire, Brito, Alencar, Ferreira among others. It is hoped that these reflections serve as a motivation for other researchers to expand these discussions and/or bring new aspects about what is relevant and productive in pedagogical methodologies in early childhood education.

En Educación Infantil, la música puede favorecer descubrimientos que faciliten el proceso de desarrollo y formación. En esta perspectiva, el presente estudio tiene como objetivo: reflexionar sobre las contribuciones de la música en el desarrollo infantil. Por ello, se plantean los siguientes objetivos específicos: Identificar la evolución del perfil de la música en la historia del ser humano y enumerar las principales contribuciones de la música en el desarrollo humano, específicamente para el niño. La investigación bibliográfica está anclada en los estudios de algunos teóricos como RCNEI, Freire, Brito, Alencar, Ferreira entre otros. Se espera que estas reflexiones sirvan de motivación para que otros investigadores amplíen estas discusiones y/o aporten nuevos aspectos sobre lo relevante y productivo en las metodologías pedagógicas en educación infantil.A música é riquíssima em inúmeros aspectos por emocionar e despertar o ser humano para vivenciar na aprendizagem o conhecimento, a expressão e socialização. Na Educação Infantil, a música pode favorecer descobertas que facilitam no desenvolvimento e no processo de formação. Nessa perspectiva, o presente estudo tem como objetivo: refletir sobre as contribuições da música no desenvolvimento infantil. Para tanto, estão delineados os seguintes objetivos específicos: Identificar a evolução do perfil da música na história do ser humano e listar as principais contribuições da música no desenvolvimento humano, especificamente para a criança. A pesquisa bibliográfica está ancorada nos estudos de alguns teóricos como RCNEI, Freire, Brito, Alencar, Ferreira entre outros. Esses autores relatam a importância da em manifestações sociais e pessoais desde a antiguidade, como também falam da importância da música como facilitadora para auxiliar na compreensão do aluno, pois estabelece empatia entre autor/compositor e o mesmo.
