Technology allied to education: a State of Knowledge about the mobile phone as a teaching resource in the classroom

Resumo: The cell phone is a technological resource widely used today, whether for children, young people or adults. Just as it is important for this public on a daily basis, the cell phone is also an important resource for eeducation. However, this utility is also still questionable with regard to the benefits achieved with this practice in the classroom. There are many discussions about the use of this electronic device as a useful tool for teaching-learning practices. From this perspective, our objective in this work is to map the academic productions located in the repository of the Theses and Dissertation Capes catalog that discuss the use of cell phones as a didactic resource in the classroom. For that, we opted for the type of research State of knowledge that is characterized by the survey, selection and analysis of data in only one database. As proceeded, a quantitative of 27 works was obtained and after refinement made from some descriptors, 11 publications were selected, which made up the corpus of this study. In summary, the results reveal that the greatest interest of researchers is concentrated in the use of cell phones as a didactic resource in the scope of exact sciences and natural sciences, with emphasis on the subjects of Mathematics and Physics which together add up to a greater number of published productions. Therefore, the results also reveal an increase in the number of researches on the topic under study.

Así como es importante para este público a diario, el teléfono celular también es un recurso importante para la educación. Sin embargo, esta utilidad también es cuestionable con respecto a los beneficios logrados con esta práctica en el aula. Hay muchas discusiones sobre el uso de este dispositivo electrónico como una herramienta útil para las prácticas de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Desde esta perspectiva, nuestro objetivo en este trabajo es mapear las producciones académicas ubicadas en el repositorio del catálogo de Capas de Tesis y Disertaciones que discuten el uso de teléfonos celulares como un recurso didáctico en el aula. Para eso, optamos por el tipo de estado de conocimiento de investigación que se caracteriza por la encuesta, selección y análisis de datos en una sola base de datos. A medida que se procedía, se obtuvo una cantidad cuantitativa de 27 obras y, después del refinamiento realizado a partir de algunos descriptores, se seleccionaron 11 publicaciones, que formaron el corpus de este estudio. En resumen, los resultados revelan que el mayor interés de los investigadores se concentra en el uso de teléfonos celulares como un recurso didáctico dentro del alcance de las ciencias exactas y las ciencias naturales, con énfasis en los temas de Matemáticas y Física, que en conjunto suman un mayor número de producciones publicadas. Por lo tanto, los resultados también revelan un aumento en el número de investigaciones sobre el tema en estudio.O celular é um recurso tecnológico muito utilizado atualmente, seja por criança, jovem ou adulto. Assim como é importante para esse público no dia a dia, o celular também é um recurso importante para a educação. Entretanto, essa utilidade ainda é também questionável no que se refere aos benefícios alcançados com esta prática em sala de aula. Há muitas discussões sobre a utilização deste eletrônico como ferramenta útil às práticas de ensino-aprendizagem. Sob esta ótica, nosso objetivo neste trabalho é mapear as produções acadêmicas situadas no repositório do Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da Capes que discutem sobre o uso do celular como recurso didático em sala de aula. Para tanto, optou-se para o tipo de pesquisa Estado de conhecimento que se caracteriza pelo levantamento, seleção e análise de dados em apenas um banco de dados. Conforme os procedimentos realizados obteve-se um quantitativo de 27 trabalhos e após refinamento feito a partir de alguns descritores 11 publicações foram selecionadas, as quais compuseram o corpus deste estudo. Em suma, os resultados revelam que o interesse maior dos pesquisadores concentra-se no uso do celular como recurso didático no âmbito das ciências exatas e ciências da natureza, com destaque para as disciplinas de Matemática e Física que juntas somam maior número de produções publicadas.
