An interdisciplinary practice between Mathematics and Geography in Integrated Technical High School: construction of imaginary countries

Resumo: This work aims to define an intervention carried out with a 3rd grade of Technical in Maintenance and Support in Informatics Integrated to High School of the Campus of São Vicente do Sul, from Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Farroupilha. It is an experience report that consisted of the construction of imaginary countries, focusing on geographic and mathematical concepts. The methodology used was didactic intervention and involves: guidance from students, reports, lecture, seminar presentations and elaboration of videos. The results found with this experience indicate that the methodology of orientation of the groups was fundamental to evaluate the learning progress of the students, even encouraged the dialogue between them. Therefore, the contents of Geography and Mathematics addressed activities, allowed important discussions, enable students to reflect on current themes present in their daily lives. It emphasizes the needed for an adequate infrastructure to carry out interdisciplinary activities, as well as a curriculum understanding that turn them possible. Although punctual, an activity promotes situations that require a critical positioning of students on the geographic spaces of the built countries.

Although punctual, an activity promotes situations that require a critical positioning of students on the geographic spaces of the built countries.La presente investigación tiene como objetivo delinear una intervención realizada con una clase de tercer año del curso Técnico en Manutención y Soporte en Informática Integrada a la Enseñanza Media del campus São Vicente do Sul, del Instituto Federal de Educación, Ciencias y Tecnología Farroupilha. Se trata de un relato de experiencia que constituye en la construcción de países imaginarios, poniendo enfoque a los conceptos geográficos y matemáticos. La metodología utilizada fue de intervención didáctica, la cual implico: orientaciones de los estudiantes, informes, ponencia, presentaciones de seminarios y elaboración de videos. Los resultados obtenidos con esta experiencia señalaron que la metodología de orientación de los grupos fue fundamental para evaluar el progreso del aprendizaje de los estudiantes, incluso incentivó el dialogo entre ellos. Es importante señalar que los contenidos de Geografía y Matemática abordados en la actividad posibilitaron importantes discusiones, dando la oportunidad de reflexión sobre temas actuales presentes en sus cotidianos. Se destaca la necesidad de una infraestructura adecuada para la realización de las actividades interdisciplinares, así como de una comprensión curricular que las posibiliten. A pesar de puntual, la actividad promovió situaciones que demandaran una posición crítica de los alumnos sobre los espacios geográficos de los países creados.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo delinear uma intervenção realizada com uma turma de terceiro ano do curso Técnico em Manutenção e Suporte em Informática Integrado ao Ensino Médio do campus São Vicente do Sul, do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Farroupilha. Trata-se de um relato de experiência que consistiu na construção de países imaginários, dando enfoque a conceitos geográficos e matemáticos. A metodologia utilizada foi de intervenção didática e esta envolveu: orientações das/dos estudantes, relatórios, palestra, apresentações de seminários e elaboração de vídeos. Os resultados encontrados com essa experiência indicaram que a metodologia de orientação dos grupos foi fundamental para avaliar o progresso da aprendizagem das/dos alunas e alunos, inclusive incentivou o diálogo entre eles e elas. Aponta-se que os conteúdos de Geografia e Matemática abordados na atividade, possibilitaram importantes discussões, oportunizando aos estudantes refletirem sobre temas atuais presentes em seus cotidianos. Salienta-se a necessidade de uma infraestrutura adequada para a realização de atividades interdisciplinares, bem como de uma compreensão curricular que as possibilitem.
