Nursing coping during the COVID-19 pandemic period in three cities in northwest Paraná

Resumo: Objective: To explore the conception of nursing professionals in relation to work experiences in times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This is a qualitative, descriptive, exploratory study carried out in 3 cities in northwest Paraná, with 34 nursing professionals who worked on the front line against the coronavirus. Data were collected using an electronic form. Results: With the data collected, it is observed that most nursing professionals took the vaccine against the SARS-CoV-2 virus of COVID-19 and that PPE was made available at their workplace, although they were lacking at some point. Most did not receive any type of training, lectures or training, which, added to other findings, caused and worsened states of stress, fears, anxiety and exhaustion, as well as triggering diseases. Conclusion: It is concluded that the pandemic had a direct impact on the mental and physical health of nursing professionals, regarding fear, anxiety, stress, physical and mental fatigue.

Métodos: Se trata de un estudio cualitativo, descriptivo, exploratorio, realizado en 3 ciudades del noroeste de Paraná, con 34 profesionales de enfermería que actuaron en la primera línea contra el coronavirus. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de un formulario electrónico. Resultados: Con los datos recolectados, se observa que la mayoría de los profesionales de enfermería tomaron la vacuna contra el virus SARS-CoV-2 de la COVID-19 y que los EPP estaban disponibles en su lugar de trabajo, aunque faltaron en algún momento. La mayoría no recibió ningún tipo de capacitación, charlas o capacitación, lo que, sumado a otros hallazgos, provocó y agravó estados de estrés, miedos, ansiedad y agotamiento, además de desencadenar enfermedades. Conclusión: Se concluye que la pandemia tuvo un impacto directo en la salud mental y física de los profesionales de enfermería, en cuanto al miedo, la ansiedad, el estrés, el cansancio físico y mental.Objetivo: Explorar a concepção dos profissionais da enfermagem em relação às vivências de trabalho em tempos de pandemia COVID-19. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo qualitativo, descritivo exploratório, realizado em 3 cidades do noroeste do Paraná, com 34 profissionais de enfermagem que atuaram na linha de frente contra o coronavírus. Os dados foram coletados mediante a formulário eletrônico. Resultados: Com os dados coletados, observa-se que a maioria dos profissionais de enfermagem tomou a vacina contra o vírus SARS-CoV-2 da COVID-19 e que no seu local de trabalho foram disponibilizados EPIs, embora faltaram em algum momento. A maioria não recebeu qualquer tipo treinamento, palestras ou capacitação, o que, somado às demais constatações, causaram e agravaram os estados de estresse, medos, ansiedade e exaustão, bem como desencadearam doenças.
