Reflections on the identity of nurses in the management of health services

Resumo: | Identity is characterized as a process of meaning construction with several interrelated cultural attributes, directing social roles. Regarding the professional identity of nurses, it also takes place from the understanding of their social place and how they project this construction during their academic and professional trajectory, and, in the case of health management, aiming at responses to the needs of nurses. To reflect on the professional identity of health managers nurses. Method: This is a reflective study, carried out in October 2019, in which an unsystematic search was carried out in the literature using the terms 'professional identity', 'professional identity in nursing' and 'professional identity of the health manager and the nurse manager in health', in which the readings of the research conditioned the construction of two chapters: 'Identity of the nursing profession and nursing management - appropriating the history and concepts' and 'Building the professional identity of the nurse manager - from training to practice'. The differential of the nurse's identity in the scope of management must happen through the articulation between care management and the management of people, processes and results. Therefore, a continuous reassessment of the organizational processes and strategies of training institutions is necessary, as it is a challenge to define the necessary competences for the formation of the identity of nurse managers. Conclusion: The professional identity of the nurse manager is formed by reflections of their academic learning towards the relational processes that involve work. |

En cuanto a la identidad profesional de los enfermeros, se da también a partir de la comprensión de su lugar social y de cómo proyectan esa construcción durante su trayectoria académica y profesional, y, en el caso de la gestión en salud, visando respuestas a las necesidades de los enfermeros usuarios. Reflexionar sobre la identidad profesional de los enfermeros gestores de salud. Método: Se trata de un estudio reflexivo, realizado en octubre de 2019, en el que se realizó una búsqueda asistemática en la literatura utilizando los términos 'identidad profesional', 'identidad profesional en enfermería' e 'identidad profesional del gestor de salud y del enfermero en salud', en el que las lecturas de la investigación condicionaron la construcción de dos capítulos: 'Identidad de la profesión de enfermería y gestión de enfermería - apropiación de la historia y los conceptos' y 'Construcción de la identidad profesional del enfermero gestor - de la formación a la práctica '. El diferencial de la identidad del enfermero en el ámbito de la gestión debe pasar por la articulación entre la gestión del cuidado y la gestión de personas, procesos y resultados. Por lo tanto, es necesaria una reevaluación continua de los procesos y estrategias organizacionales de las instituciones de formación, ya que es un desafío definir las competencias necesarias para la formación de la identidad de las enfermeras gestoras. Conclusión: La identidad profesional del enfermero gestor está formada por reflejos de su aprendizaje académico hacia los procesos relacionales que envuelven el trabajo.A identidade se caracteriza como um processo de construção de significados com diversos atributos culturais inter-relacionados, direcionando papéis sociais. No que tange a identidade profissional de enfermeiros, ela também se dá a partir da compreensão de seu lugar social e de como projetam essa construção no decorrer de sua trajetória acadêmica e profissional, e, no caso da gestão em saúde, almejando respostas às necessidades dos usuários. Refletir acerca da identidade profissional de enfermeiros gestores em saúde. Método: Trata-se de um estudo reflexivo, realizado em outubro de 2019, em que se realizou busca assistemática na literatura utilizando-se dos termos ‘identidade profissional’, ‘identidade profissional na enfermagem’ e ‘identidade profissional do gestor em saúde e do enfermeiro gestor em saúde’, em que as leituras das pesquisas condicionaram a construção de dois capítulos: ‘Identidade da profissão de enfermagem e da gestão em enfermagem – apropriando-se da história e dos conceitos’ e ‘Construindo a identidade profissional do enfermeiro gestor - da formação à prática’. O diferencial da identidade do enfermeiro no âmbito da gestão deve acontecer pela articulação entre a gerência do cuidado e a gestão de pessoas, processos e resultados. Para tanto, faz-se necessária uma reavaliação contínua dos processos e estratégias organizacionais das instituições formativas, por se tratar de um desafio definir as competências necessárias para a formação da identidade dos enfermeiros gestores.
