Selection of nursing course subjects offered in the distance modality

Resumo: In this study we analyze a selection of subjects offered at a distance in a nursing course. Course and distance learning coordinators, national distance education and nursing course manager were interviewed. The speeches of the course coordinators diverge in relation to the selection of subjects to be offered in the distance modality – one claims to be unaware and the other indicates involvement of the collegiate and the structuring nucleus of teachers, information corroborated by the national manager, who claims to also consider other health courses. The national distance learning manager affirms that the selection is made by “trial and error” based on the need and a reduction of each discipline through demands and evaluations made by students and teachers. Regarding the transposition of the presential to the distance modality, they claim to have no knowledge of how it works and that the materials are common to both modalities. In the project of the course there are no criteria for the selection of subjects to be offered in the distance modality. The insertion of technologies in higher education institutions is an inevitable movement and increasingly present in the daily life and it is up to the teaching teachers to contribute to this mediation.

Se entrevistaron coordinadores del curso y de educación a distancia, gerente nacional de educación a distancia y del curso de enfermería. Los discursos de los coordinadores del curso divergen en relación a la selección de asignaturas a ofrecer en la modalidad a distancia – uno afirma desconocer y el otro indica involucramiento del colegiado y del núcleo docente estructurador, información corroborada por el gerente nacional, quien afirma considerar también otros cursos de salud. El gerente nacional de educación a distancia afirma que la selección se hace por “ensayo y error” en función de la necesidad y reducción de cada disciplina a través de demandas y evaluaciones evaluadas por estudiantes y docentes. En cuanto a la transposición de la disciplina presencial a la modalidad a distancia, afirman no tener conocimiento de cómo funciona y que los materiales son comunes a ambas modalidades. En el proyecto del curso no existen criterios para la selección de asignaturas a ofertar en la modalidad a distancia. La inserción de tecnologías en las instituciones de educación superior es un movimiento ineludible y cada vez más presente en la vida cotidiana y corresponde a los docentes formadores contribuir a esta mediación.Neste estudo analisamos a seleção de disciplinas ofertadas a distância em um curso de enfermagem. Foram entrevistados: coordenadores de curso e de educação a distância, gestor nacional de educação a distância (EAD) e do curso de enfermagem. Identificou-se que os discursos dos coordenadores de curso divergem em relação à seleção das disciplinas a serem ofertadas na modalidade a distância – um desconhece e outro indica envolvimento do colegiado e do núcleo docente estruturante, informação corroborada pelo gestor nacional, que afirma considerar também outros cursos de saúde. O gestor nacional de EAD afirma que a seleção se dá por “tentativa e erro” a partir da necessidade e a relevância de cada disciplina mediante demandas e avaliações realizadas por alunos e professores. Quanto à transposição do presencial para EAD, os sujeitos alegam não ter conhecimento como ela se dá e que os materiais são comuns às duas modalidades. No projeto do curso não há critérios para a seleção das disciplinas a serem ofertadas em EAD.
