Challenges of mental health nursing in family health strategies

Resumo: | The aim of the present study was to investigate the challenges of nursing care within the scope of Mental Health in the Family Health Strategies. This is a cross-sectional, mixed, quantitative and qualitative research, in which 24 participants were interviewed, 4 nurses and 16 nursing technicians, in 8 ESF teams in the city of Maceió - AL, randomly classified during the program Excel®. Among the results found, we highlight the lack of practices in Mental Health, lack of capacity and inadequate infrastructure, inadequate human and monetary resources, cultural predominance for ineffective assistance, ideology of treatment in Mental Health is for crazy people and not as a disease to be treated , reception and safety of the nursing team. It was concluded that the challenges, despite recidivists, are particular among those that occurred as a result of their knowledge, precepts and experiences. The participants identified their challenges, anxieties, needs and, consequently, achieved reflexes about actions and practices that can be performed in the SM, or that allow changes in assistance. |

Es una investigación transversal, mixta, cuantitativa y cualitativa, en la que se entrevistó a 24 participantes, 4 enfermeras y 16 técnicos de enfermería, en 8 equipos de FHS en la ciudad de Maceió - AL, seleccionados al azar a través del programa. Excel®. Entre los resultados encontrados, la falta de prácticas de salud mental, falta de capacitación e infraestructura inadecuada, recursos humanos y monetarios insuficientes, predominio cultural para asistencia ineficaz, ideología de que el tratamiento de salud mental es para personas locas y no como un enfermedad a tratar, miedo e inseguridad del equipo de enfermería. Se concluye que los desafíos, aunque recurrentes, son particulares entre las personas debido a sus conocimientos, preceptos y experiencias. Los participantes identificaron sus desafíos, ansiedades, necesidades y, en consecuencia, llegaron a reflexiones sobre las acciones y prácticas que se pueden realizar dentro del alcance de la SM, lo que permite estrategias para cambiar la atención.O objetivo do presente estudo foi investigar os desafios da assistência de enfermagem no âmbito da Saúde Mental nas Estratégias Saúde da Família. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, de caráter misto, quantitativa e qualitativa, em que 24 participantes foram entrevistados, 4 enfermeiros e 16 técnicos de enfermagem, em 8 equipes de ESF no município de Maceió - AL, sorteadas aleatoriamente através do programa Excel®. Dentre os resultados encontrados, destacam-se a inexistência de práticas em Saúde Mental, falta de capacitação e infraestrutura inadequada, recursos humanos e monetários insuficientes, predomínio cultural pela assistência ineficaz, ideologia de que o tratamento em Saúde Mental é para loucos e não como uma doença a ser tratada, receio e insegurança da equipe de enfermagem. Conclui-se que os desafios, apesar de reincidentes, são particulares entre os indivíduos em decorrência dos seus conhecimentos, preceitos e experiências.
