Resumo: | This work aims to contribute to the formation of critical thinking related to the environment, preservation and sustainability through Environmental Education, using the theme of soils in the school environment. In addition to this, working with the interrelationship between human beings and the environment, developing a cooperative spirit and committed to the future of the planet. The methodology was used in the form of workshops with thematic soils and vermicomposting, the workshops were developed with students from the 1st and 5th year of Elementary School I at a Municipal School in Santa Maria, RS. The construction of knowledge was sought through practical activities that involved the participation and contribution of all involved. In this way, we sought to collaborate with Environmental Education, sensitizing students to the importance of soil and the reuse of solid residues, especially organic ones via vermicomposting, projecting that this practice extends beyond the school environment. |

Además de esto, trabajar con la interrelación entre el ser humano y el medio ambiente, desarrollando un espíritu cooperativo y comprometido con el futuro del planeta. La metodología se utilizó en forma de talleres con suelos temáticos y vermicompostaje, los talleres se desarrollaron con alumnos de 1º y 5º año de la Escuela Primaria I en una Escuela Municipal de Santa María, RS. Se buscó la construcción del conocimiento a través de actividades prácticas que involucraron la participación y el aporte de todos los involucrados. De esta forma, buscamos colaborar con Educación Ambiental, sensibilizando a los estudiantes sobre la importancia del suelo y la reutilización de residuos sólidos, especialmente orgánicos mediante vermicompostaje, proyectando que esta práctica se extiende más allá del ámbito escolar.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo contribuir para a formação de um pensamento crítico relacionado ao meio ambiente, preservação e sustentabilidade através da Educação Ambiental, utilizando a temática de solos no âmbito escolar. Aliado a isso, trabalhar com a inter-relação entre o ser humano e o meio ambiente, desenvolvendo um espírito cooperativo e comprometido com o futuro do planeta. Utilizou-se a metodologia em formato de oficinas com as temáticas solos e vermicompostagem, as oficinas foram desenvolvidas com os alunos do 1º e 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental I em uma Escola Municipal de Santa Maria, RS. Buscou-se a construção do conhecimento através de atividades práticas que envolveram a participação e contribuição de todos os envolvidos.
