Resumo: This article aims to discuss the unitary knowledge and the pragmatic relationship of man and nature as an obstacle to the formation of the scientific spirit in the view of Gaston Bachelard and the challenges of contemporary science. Dogmas, generalities and preconceptions without scientific evidence constitute obstacles to achieving scientific progress. Based on these obstacles, it situates the challenges that contemporary science faces. In methodological terms, it is a bibliographic research and is based on the interpretation of qualitative data based on the epistemological obstacles that immobilize the formation of the scientific spirit. It is understood that unitary knowledge makes the investigation of particular phenomena impossible and that the pragmatic explains the phenomena from the utility they bring to man, being problematized by Gaston Bachelard as an obstacle to the formation of the scientific spirit. Bachelard's assumptions are considered to propose a new approach to the conception of epistemology, pointing to a new meaning in the dialectical method of production and systematization of the scientific process. It is evident in the study that the development of science was and still is influenced by the culture of its time.

Los dogmas, generalidades y prejuicios sin evidencia científica constituyen obstáculos para lograr el progreso científico. A partir de estos obstáculos, sitúa los desafíos a los que se enfrenta la ciencia contemporánea. En términos metodológicos, es una investigación bibliográfica y se basa en la interpretación de datos cualitativos a partir de los obstáculos epistemológicos que inmovilizan la formación del espíritu científico. Se entiende que el conocimiento unitario imposibilita la investigación de fenómenos particulares y que el pragmático explica los fenómenos desde la utilidad que aportan al hombre, siendo problematizado por Gaston Bachelard como un obstáculo para la formación del espíritu científico. Se considera que los supuestos de Bachelard proponen una nueva aproximación a la concepción de la epistemología, apuntando a un nuevo significado en el método dialéctico de producción y sistematización del proceso científico. Es evidente en el estudio que el desarrollo de la ciencia estuvo y sigue estando influido por la cultura de su época.Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir o conhecimento unitário e a relação pragmática do homem e a natureza como obstáculo para a formação do espírito científico na visão de Gaston Bachelard e os desafios da ciência contemporânea. Os dogmas, as generalidades e as preconcepções sem constatação científica configuram como entraves à consecução do avanço científico. A partir desses obstáculos, situa os desafios que a ciência contemporânea enfrenta. Em termos metodológicos, é uma pesquisa de natureza bibliográfica e fundamenta-se pela interpretação de dados qualitativos baseados nos obstáculos epistemológicos que imobilizam a formação do espírito científico. Compreende-se que o conhecimento unitário impossibilita a investigação de fenômenos particulares e que o pragmático explica os fenômenos a partir da utilidade que trazem ao homem, sendo problematizado por Gaston Bachelard como um obstáculo a formação do espírito científico. Considera-se que os pressupostos de Bachelard propõem uma nova abordagem quanto à concepção de epistemologia, apontando uma ressignificação no método dialético de produção e sistematização do processo científico.
