Validated educational technologies for people with diabetes mellitus: Trends in brazilian graduate production

Resumo: Objective: to identify the trends of scientific production in Brazilian postgraduate studies about educational technologies validated for people with diabetes mellitus. Method: this is a descriptive review, with a narrative approach. A search was carried out at the Bank of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, in order to identify the Theses and Dissertations on the proposed theme. The search was carried out in December 2020 and the strategies "educational technology AND diabet *" and "technology AND diabet *" were used. After selecting and applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 19 studies made up this review. Results: 17 dissertations and two theses were found. Studies from 2014 stand out, with predominance in the Northeast and Southeast regions. The contributions of educational technologies validated for people with diabetes mellitus point to the appreciation of the subjects' needs and professional experiences, empowerment for self-care, the need for behavioral changes and disease control and its complications. Conclusion: the health area produces works with the theme of validation of educational technologies, but with a sharp decrease in production about chronic diseases, especially diabetes mellitus.

Método: se trata de una revisión descriptiva, con enfoque narrativo. Se realizó una búsqueda en el Banco de Tesis y Disertaciones de la Coordinación de Perfeccionamiento del Personal de Educación Superior, con el fin de identificar las Tesis y Disertaciones sobre el tema propuesto. La búsqueda se realizó en diciembre de 2020 y se utilizaron las estrategias "tecnología educativa AND diabet *" y "tecnología AND diabet *". Después de seleccionar y aplicar los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, 19 estudios conformaron esta revisión. Resultados: se encontraron 17 disertaciones y dos tesis. Destacan los estudios de 2014, con predominio en las regiones Nordeste y Sudeste. Los aportes de las tecnologías educativas validadas para personas con diabetes mellitus apuntan a la valoración de las necesidades y experiencias profesionales de los sujetos, el empoderamiento para el autocuidado, la necesidad de cambios de comportamiento y control de la enfermedad y sus complicaciones. Conclusión: el área de salud produce trabajos con el tema de validación de tecnologías educativas, pero con una fuerte disminución en la producción sobre enfermedades crónicas, especialmente diabetes mellitus.Objetivo: identificar as tendências das produções científicas da pós-graduação brasileira acerca das tecnologias educacionais validadas para pessoas com diabetes mellitus. Método: trata-se de uma revisão descritiva, com abordagem narrativa. Foi realizada uma busca no Banco de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, a fim de identificar as Teses e Dissertações sobre a temática proposta. A busca foi realizada em dezembro de 2020 e foram utilizadas as estratégias “tecnologia educacional AND diabet*” e “tecnologia AND diabet*”. Após a seleção e aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, 19 estudos compuseram esta revisão. Resultados: encontrou-se 17 dissertações e duas teses. Destacam-se estudos a partir de 2014, com predominância nas regiões Nordeste e Sudeste. As contribuições das tecnologias educacionais validadas para pessoas com diabetes mellitus apontam para a valorização das necessidades dos sujeitos e das experiências profissionais, o empoderamento para o autocuidado, a necessidade de mudanças de comportamento e de controle da doença e suas complicações.
