Resumo: The objective of this study is to provide information on personal finance in the university public. The methodology used is qualitative, consisting of a non-university field study. As a result, the evidence that the existence of less knowledge about the subject, the importance of updating, and the use of an aid tool to understand their expenses, is a perspective of university students. Finally, the study concluded that students still do not have a way to save money, but intend in the future on the possibility of a reserve for eventual expenditure.

La metodología utilizada es cualitativa, consistente en un estudio de investigación de campo en el medio universitario. Como resultado el estudio evidencia que a pesar del poco conocimiento sobre el tema, la importancia de actualizarse y utilizar como herramienta de auxilio para entender sus gastos, es una perspectiva de los discentes universitarios. Por último, el estudio concluye que los universitarios aún no cuentan con una forma de ahorrar dinero, pero pretenden en el futuro ante la posibilidad de obtener una reserva para eventual gasto.O presente estudo tem por objetivo compreender a importância das finanças pessoais no público universitário. A metodologia utilizada é qualitativa, consistindo em um estudo de pesquisa de campo no meio universitário. Como resultado o estudo evidencia que apesar do pouco conhecimento sobre o tema, a importância de se atualizar e utilizar como ferramenta de auxilio para entender seus gastos, é uma perspectiva dos discentes universitários.
