Benefits of rotary files in Endodontic treatment

Resumo: Discussion of the benefits of rotary files is essential in endodontic treatment because patient comfort and safety during the performance of a procedure is fundamental. Through proper treatment and the correct use of dental tools, the patient's health is complemented, relieving pain during procedures. This study aims to analyze the main benefits of using rotary files for endodontic treatment. Also, check the function of the rotary files and the proper handling by the dental surgeon. This is an integrative literature review in which the delimited consultation platforms are: SciELO, LILACS and Institutional Repositories. For this, the following search descriptors were used: Rotating Files; Endodontic treatment; Dental surgeon. The application of some criteria was limited: temporality - articles published in 2014-2022; methodological – literary, integrative, systematic reviews and field research. In this way, the benefits of using rotary files are presented in the literature and demonstrate resistance to the material of the patient's tooth, thus preventing these instruments from breaking during the procedure, requiring the surgeon to have previous skills to handle the files to avoid intercurrences. Therefore, a well-performed procedure enables successful treatment of the patient.

A través del tratamiento adecuado y el uso correcto de las herramientas dentales, se complementa la salud del paciente, aliviando el dolor durante los procedimientos. Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar los principales beneficios del uso de limas rotatorias para el tratamiento de endodoncia. Además, verifique el funcionamiento de las limas rotatorias y el correcto manejo por parte del cirujano dentista. Esta es una revisión integradora de literatura en la que las plataformas de consulta delimitadas son: SciELO, LILACS y Repositorios Institucionales. Para ello, se utilizaron los siguientes descriptores de búsqueda: Archivos Rotativos; tratamiento de endodoncia; Cirujano dentista. La aplicación de algunos criterios fue limitada: temporalidad - artículos publicados en 2014-2022; metodológico – revisiones literarias, integradoras, sistemáticas e investigaciones de campo. De esta forma, los beneficios del uso de limas rotatorias se presentan en la literatura y demuestran la resistencia del material del diente del paciente, evitando así que estos instrumentos se rompan durante el procedimiento, requiriendo que el cirujano tenga habilidades previas en el manejo de las limas para evitar intercurrencias, por lo tanto, un procedimiento bien realizado permite un tratamiento exitoso del paciente.A discussão dos benefícios das limas rotatórias é essencial no tratamento em endodontia pois, o conforto e a segurança do paciente durante a realização de um procedimento é fundamental. Através do tratamento adequado e da utilização correta das ferramentas odontológicas complementa-se a saúde do paciente, minorando a dor durante os procedimentos. Este estudo objetiva analisar os principais benefícios em utilizar limas rotatórias para o tratamento endodôntico. E ainda, verificar a função das limas rotatórias e o manuseio adequado pelo cirurgião dentista. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura na qual as plataformas de consulta delimitadas são: SciELO, LILACS e Repositórios Institucionais. Para isto, utilizou-se os seguintes descritores de pesquisa: Limas Rotatórias; Tratamento Endodôntico; Cirurgião dentista. Delimitou-se a aplicação de alguns critérios: temporalidade - artigos publicados em 2014-2022; metodológico – revisões literárias, integrativas, sistemáticas e pesquisas de campo.
