The investigative experimentation in the teaching of Mathematics: what the Teachers of a Public School in Pará think and do

Resumo: | The present research seeks to analyze how investigative experimentation can contribute to the teaching and learning of Mathematics in the early years of elementary school. Thus, a qualitative approach research was carried out with four regent teachers of a Municipal School in the city of Mãe do Rio (PA). These teachers have experience in classes with students from the 1st to the 5th year of this teaching cycle. As an instrument for data collection, a questionnaire was used, in which professors expressed their contributions based on questions that addressed their academic training, knowledge and use (or not) of investigative experimentation in their practice. The research results showed a lack of knowledge and, consequently, difficulties in using investigative teaching in Mathematics teaching. With this, the need for continuing education processes aimed at the field of active methodologies is highlighted, seeking to broaden the understanding of teachers and contribute to teaching practices based on problem solving, thus bringing scientific content closer to the reality of students. |

Así, se realizó una investigación de enfoque cualitativo con cuatro profesores regentes de una Escuela Municipal de la ciudad de Mãe do Rio (PA). Estos docentes cuentan con experiencia en clases con alumnos de 1° a 5° año de este ciclo docente. Como instrumento de recolección de datos se utilizó un cuestionario, en el cual los profesores expresaron sus aportes a partir de preguntas que abordaban su formación académica, conocimiento y uso (o no) de la experimentación investigativa en su práctica. Los resultados de la investigación mostraron una falta de conocimiento y, en consecuencia, dificultades para utilizar la enseñanza investigativa en la enseñanza de las Matemáticas. Con ello, se destaca la necesidad de procesos de formación permanente dirigidos al campo de las metodologías activas, buscando ampliar la comprensión de los docentes y contribuir a prácticas docentes basadas en la resolución de problemas, acercando así los contenidos científicos a la realidad de los estudiantes.O presente trabalho busca analisar de que forma a experimentação investigativa pode contribuir para o ensino e para a aprendizagem da Matemática nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental. Assim, realizou-se uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa com quatro professores regentes de uma Escola Municipal da cidade de Mãe do Rio (PA), tais professores possuem experiência em turmas com alunos do 1° ao 5º ano deste ciclo de ensino. Como instrumento para coleta dos dados utilizou-se um questionário, no qual os docentes expressaram suas contribuições a partir de questões que abordavam sua formação acadêmica, o conhecimento e o uso (ou não) da experimentação investigativa em sua prática. Os resultados da pesquisa evidenciaram escassez de conhecimentos e consequentemente dificuldades na utilização do ensino por investigação no ensino da Matemática.
