The Teaching of Sciences for the initial years of Elementary School: the experimentation as a didactic possibility

Resumo: | Discussing the use of a methodology that can assist in the teaching of Science, especially in the initial grades of Elementary School, considering the current educational and social context in which we find ourselves, becomes a prominent issue to be debated. In this scenario of pedagogical tradition, the activities of investigative experiments appear as a didactic possibility for teaching science, considering this methodology as a means and not an end to solve such problems. In this sense, the present work sought to investigate the conception of experimentation according to the perception of five teachers of Sciences of the initial years of Elementary Education of a public school in Castanhal-PA. To this end, we are pursuing the paths of a qualitative research, with information organized from semi-structured questions in the form of an interview. Thus, we present different conceptions about experimentation as a didactic possibility for teaching science, considering the pedagogical content of the use of this methodology in its classroom practices, as well as the main difficulties encountered by teachers who decide to use experimentation in their science classes. It is necessary that teacher training courses discuss with future teachers the need to re-signify experimental work, no longer as a recipe of cake to be followed, but as a possibility to be an instrument for solving a real problem. |

Las actividades de experimentación investigativa surgen, en este escenario de tradición pedagógica, como una posibilidad didáctica para la enseñanza de las ciencias, al considerar esta metodología como un medio y no un fin para solucionar tales problemas. En este sentido, el presente trabajo buscó investigar la concepción de experimentación según la percepción de cinco profesoras de Ciencias de los años iniciales de la Enseñanza Fundamental de una escuela pública de Castanhal-PA. Para ello, perpetramos los caminos de una investigación cualitativa, con informaciones organizadas a partir de cuestiones semiestructuradas en forma de entrevista. Con ello, evidenciamos diferentes concepciones acerca de la experimentación como una posibilidad didáctica para la enseñanza de las ciencias, considerando el contenido pedagógico de la utilización (o no) de esa metodología en sus prácticas de aula, además de las principales dificultades encontradas por los profesores que deciden utilizar la experimentación en sus clases de Ciencias. Es necesario que los cursos de formación de profesores discutan con los futuros docentes la necesidad de resignificar el trabajo experimental, no más como una receta de pastel a seguir, sino como posibilidad de ser instrumento para la resolución de un problema real.Discorrer acerca da utilização de uma metodologia que possa auxiliar no ensino de Ciências, principalmente nas séries iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, tendo em vista o atual contexto educacional e social em que nos encontramos, torna-se uma questão proeminente de ser debatida. As atividades de experimentações investigativas surgem, neste cenário de tradição pedagógica, como uma possibilidade didática para o ensino de Ciências, ao considerarmos essa metodologia como um meio e não um fim para solucionar tais problemas. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho procurou investigar a concepção de experimentação segundo a percepção de cinco professoras de Ciências dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola pública de Castanhal-PA. Para tanto, perpetramos os caminhos de uma pesquisa qualitativa, com informações organizadas a partir de questões semiestruturadas em forma de entrevista. Com isso, evidenciamos diferentes concepções acerca da experimentação como uma possibilidade didática para o ensino de Ciências, considerando o conteúdo pedagógico da utilização (ou não) dessa metodologia em suas práticas de sala de aula, além das principais dificuldades encontradas pelos professores que decidem utilizar a experimentação em suas aulas de Ciências.
