Teaching of science and practice in the laboratory: an experience with students from the first segment of basic education

Resumo: This article has as objective to analyze the beliefs of students from 4th and 5th anniversary of the first segment of Fundamental Education from an institution of public education in the state of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) in the practical classes at the Laboratory of Sciences. The research is characterized as action research- and presents a descriptive approach.Based on the theoretical assumptions of authors that highlight the importance of, at the initial stage of Basic Education, being developed activities that aim at understanding of knowledge in Sciences for the construction of scientific knowledge and interactions with a view to learning.We in the perspective of a laboratory school, not the teacher only interested in proving expected results in theories, but also in developing friendly modes in everyday life and professional, making reference to the formative aspects. Finally, the study was based on the analysis of the place of the school to promote the appropriation of scientific knowledge, the more elaborate knowledge and contextualized for the formation of a free and conscious citizen.The instruments used were questionnaires and interviews, and data were analyzed according to a critical vision, valuing the learner as an active subject. Thus, the laboratory of science became a facilitator for learning, contributing to the construction process of scientific concepts related to individual and collective reality.

La investigación se caracteriza por la investigación-acción- y presenta un enfoque descriptivo. Sobre la base de los supuestos teóricos de los autores que resaltan la importancia de que, en la etapa inicial de la educación básica, está desarrollando actividades que apuntan a la comprensión del conocimiento en las ciencias para la construcción de conocimiento científico e interacciones con miras al aprendizaje. Nosotros, en la perspectiva de una escuela de laboratorio, el profesor no sólo está interesado en demostrar los resultados esperados en las teorías, sino también en el desarrollo de modos de amable en la vida cotidiana y profesional, haciendo referencia a los aspectos formativos Por último, el estudio se basa en el análisis del lugar de la escuela para promover la apropiación del conocimiento científico, el conocimiento más elaborado y contextualizado para la formación de un ciudadano libre y consciente. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron los cuestionarios y entrevistas, y los datos se analizaron de acuerdo con una visión crítica, valorando al estudiante como un sujeto activo. Así, el laboratorio de la ciencia se convirtió en un facilitador para el aprendizaje, contribuyendo al proceso de construcción de los conceptos científicos relacionados con la realidad individual y colectiva.Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar as crenças dos  alunos do dos 4º e 5º anos do primeiro segmento do Ensino Fundamental de uma Instituição de ensino Público do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (RJ) nas aulas práticas no Laboratório de Ciências. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como pesquisa- ação e apresenta uma abordagem descritiva. Baseou-se nos pressupostos teóricos de autores que destacam a importância de, na fase inicial do Ensino Fundamental, serem desenvolvidas atividades que visem a compreensão dos conhecimentos em Ciências para a construção de conhecimentos científicos e interações com vista na aprendizagem. Cogitamos na perspectiva de um laboratório escolar, não estar o professor apenas interessado em comprovar resultados previstos nas teorias, mas também em desenvolver modos afáveis na vida cotidiana e profissional, fazendo referência aos aspectos formativos. Por fim, o estudo se fundamentou na análise do lugar da escola em promover a apropriação dos conhecimentos científicos, dos saberes mais elaborados e contextualizados para formação de um cidadão livre e consciente. Os instrumentos utilizados foram questionários e entrevistas, e os dados foram analisados segundo uma visão crítica, valorizando o aluno como sujeito ativo.
