On the "track of mixtures": a proposal for the teaching of science in the early years of elementary school

Resumo: This paper presents the results of a pedagogical practice which was applied in a 4th grade elementar school class of a public school in the municipality of Conceição da Barra - ES. The pedagogical proposal was carried out during the discipline Production of Pedagogical Artifacts in Sciences, offered by the Postgraduate Course Teaching in Basic Education, of Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), and aimed to produce a pedagogical artifact based on a track game which was used as a didactic resource to promote the participation, interest and fixation of the themes homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures and methods of separation of mixtures. In addition, we sought to verify applicability of the didactic game, inserting the playful as a tool to improve the learning teaching process. The pedagogical practice was carried out in 3 stages. In the first stage, a theoretical/practical class approached the proposed theme was held. The second stage was characterized by the application of the game and the third stage was related to the application of the questionnaire to evaluate the didactic game, based on the perception of the students. Throughout the pedagogical intervention, the students were curious, questioning and enthusiastic about the activities that were proposed. As such, it is extremely importante to develop diversified pedagogical practices with the aim of contributing to the students being more participatory, motivated and, moreover, that they can significantly achieve learning.

La propuesta pedagógica se llevó a cabo durante el curso Producción de Artefactos Pedagógicos en Ciencias, ofrecido por el Curso de Posgrado Enseñanza en Educación Básica, en la Universidad Federal de Espírito Santo (UFES), y tuvo como objetivo producir un artefacto pedagógico basado en un juego de senderos que se utilizó como recurso didáctico para promover la participación, el interés y la fijación de los temas mezclas homogéneas y heterogéneas y métodos de separación de mezclas. Además, se buscó verificar la aplicabilidad del juego didáctico, insertando la lúdica como herramienta para mejorar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. La práctica pedagógica se realizó en 3 etapas. En la primera etapa, se realizó una clase teórico/práctica abordando el tema propuesto. La segunda etapa se caracterizó por la aplicación del juego y la tercera etapa estuvo relacionada con la aplicación del cuestionario para evaluar el juego didáctico, a partir de la percepción de los estudiantes. Así, tras el análisis de los cuestionarios, se comprobó que la actividad desarrollada era significativa. A lo largo de la intervención pedagógica, los alumnos se mostraron curiosos, cuestionadores y entusiasmados con las actividades que se proponían. Por lo tanto, es de suma importancia desarrollar prácticas pedagógicas diversificadas para ayudar a los estudiantes a ser más participativos, motivados y, además, capaces de lograr aprendizajes significativos.Este trabalho apresenta os resultados de uma prática pedagógica que foi aplicada em uma turma do 4º ano do ensino   fundamental de uma escola pública do município de Conceição da Barra – ES. A proposta pedagógica foi realizada no decorrer da disciplina Produção de Artefatos Pedagógicos em Ciências, ofertada pelo curso de Pós-Graduação Ensino na Educação Básica, da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES), e teve como objetivo a produção de um artefato pedagógico baseado em um jogo de trilha que foi utilizado como recurso didático para promover a participação, interesse e fixação dos temas misturas homogêneas e heterogêneas e métodos de separação de misturas. Além disso, buscou-se verificar aplicabilidade do jogo didático, inserindo o lúdico como ferramenta de melhoria do processo de ensino aprendizagem. A prática pedagógica foi realizada em 3 etapas. Na primeira etapa foi realizada uma aula teórico/prática abordando o tema proposto. A segunda etapa se caracterizou pela aplicação do jogo e a terceira etapa foi referente a aplicação do questionário para avaliação do jogo didático, baseado na percepção dos educandos. Assim, após análise dos questionários verificou-se que a atividade desenvolvida foi significativa. Durante toda a intervenção pedagógica os alunos se mostraram curiosos, questionadores e entusiasmados com as atividades que foram propostas.
