The teaching of human anatomy in the context of medical education: a historical retrospective

Resumo: This article aims to reflect on the evolutionary human anatomy teaching and the insertion of new technologies of teaching and learning in medical training. It is a reflective theoretical study. The search and analysis of the bibliographic framework used occurred through a narrative review of the literature. The organization of the results was made through Context Analysis. The contexts used were: New technologies in teaching anatomy as immediate context; Current perspectives in medical education as a specific context; Legislation and ethics in the use of cadavers as a general context; and Historical evolution of the study of anatomy as a meta-context. The competences expected by medical students who have undergone continuous training in human anatomy using different methodologies. Even so, the importance as well as the ethical aspects involved in the use of cadavers is emphasized.

Métodos: Este es un estudio teórico reflexivo. La búsqueda y análisis del marco bibliográfico utilizado se realizó a través de una revisión narrativa de la literatura. La organización de los resultados se realizó a través del análisis de contexto. Los contextos utilizados fueron: Nuevas tecnologías en la enseñanza de la anatomía como contexto inmediato; Perspectivas actuales en la educación médica como contexto específico; Legislación y ética en el uso de cadáveres como contexto general; y Evolución histórica del estudio de la anatomía como metacontexto. Las habilidades esperadas por el estudiante de medicina pasan por un entrenamiento sólido en anatomía humana usando diferentes metodologías. Todavía así, enfatiza la importancia y los aspectos éticos involucrados en el uso de cadáveres.Este trabalho tem por objetivo refletir sobre o processo de evolução do ensino da anatomia humana e a inserção das novas tecnologias no contexto do ensino e aprendizagem na formação médica. Trata-se de um estudo teórico reflexivo. A busca e análise do arcabouço bibliográfico utilizado ocorreu por meio de uma revisão narrativa da literatura. A organização dos resultados foi feita por meio da Análise de Contexto. Os contextos utilizados foram: Novas tecnologias no ensino da anatomia como contexto imediato; Perspectivas atuais no ensino médico como contexto específico; Legislação e ética no uso de cadáveres como contexto geral; e Evolução histórica do estudo da anatomia como metacontexto. As competências esperadas pelo aluno de medicina perpassam por uma formação sólida em anatomia humana com o uso de diferentes metodologias.
