Introduction: The Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID - 19), changes the way of seeing the world in which we live. Facing unexpected change in all cultural, social, political and economic aspects worldwide, the challenges have also affected education. The remote class was the pedagogical resource adopted and authorized by the Ministry of Education, and with the use of active methodologies within the virtual context, teachers seek to maintain the quality of the class that would be taught in person. Objective of the article: To reflect the pedagogical possibilities of using active methodologies in virtual environments, aiming to provide quality education to future nurses. Methodology: article reflecting on the pedagogical possibilities used by the undergraduate nursing course for the use of active methodologies in virtual environments resulting from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on education. Results and Discussion: As a way of guaranteeing classes and activities of courses and disciplines, educational institutions are using remote activities or intensifying the use of digital platforms through the distance education modality. The pedagogical strategies express the inverted classroom, here the following resources will be presented: video based, inverted forum and gamification. Conclusion: Nursing had its leading role and world view due to the pandemic throughout the care provided to patients hospitalized for the coronavirus. It corroborates the premise of increasingly promoting quality teaching in the training of nurses capable of acting with clinical, critical and reflective reasoning. That everyone can expand the use of active methodologies in teaching nursing aiming.
