IFMT vacation democratization: ways to cross between disinformation and documental proof

Resumo: Social inequalities have always been present in Brazil, with the domination of some classes to the detriment of minorities. Throughout history, the events surrounding slavery, attacks on indigenous peoples, racism against blacks, and so many other cases have made it impossible to consider that the population is on an equal footing. Law No. 12,711, sanctioned by President Dilma Roussef in 2012, was an attempt to reduce such inequalities as it regulated the quota system in educational institutions. The objective of this article was to analyze the distribution of the vacancies offered in the selection process for the IFMT Integrated High School 2019/1 and to relate them to the admission options selected by the candidates. As a methodology, qualitative and quantitative exploratory methods were adopted, followed by bibliographic and documentary research procedures. The result of the analysis of the selection process data indicated that 2899 candidates, corresponding to 35.67%, opted for some type of quota throughout the IFMT. It was concluded that affirmative actions for access to Vocational and Technological Education contribute to the democratization of education.

A lo largo de la historia, los acontecimientos relacionados con la esclavitud, los ataques contra los pueblos indígenas, el racismo contra los negros y muchos otros casos han hecho imposible considerar que la población está en pie de igualdad. La Ley N ° 12.711, sancionada por la presidenta Dilma Roussef en 2012, fue un intento de reducir las desigualdades que regulaban el sistema de cuotas en las instituciones educativas. El objetivo de este artículo fue analizar la distribución de las vacantes ofrecidas en el proceso de selección para el IFMT Integrated High School 2019/1 y relacionarlas con las opciones de admisión seleccionadas por los candidatos. Como metodología, se adoptaron métodos exploratorios cualitativos y cuantitativos, seguidos de procedimientos de investigación bibliográfica y documental. El resultado del análisis de los datos del proceso de selección indicó que 2899 candidatos, correspondientes al 35,67%, optaron por algún tipo de cuota en todo el IFMT. Se concluyó que las acciones afirmativas para el acceso a la educación vocacional y tecnológica contribuyen a la democratización de la educación.As desigualdades sociais sempre estiveram presentes no Brasil, com a dominação por algumas classes em detrimento de minorias. Ao longo da história, os eventos que envolveram a escravidão, os ataques aos povos indígenas, o racismo contra negros, e tantos outros casos, que tornam impossível considerar que a população está em condições igualitárias. A Lei nº 12.711, sancionada pela Presidente Dilma Roussef em 2012, foi uma tentativa de reduzir tais desigualdades, pois regulamentou o sistema de cotas em instituições de ensino. O objetivo deste artigo foi analisar a distribuição das vagas ofertadas no processo seletivo para o Ensino Médio Integrado 2019/1 do IFMT e relacioná-las com as opções de ingresso selecionadas pelos candidatos. Como metodologia, adotaram-se métodos qualitativos e quantitativos, de caráter exploratório e seguido por procedimentos de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. O resultado da análise dos dados do processo seletivo indicou que 2899 candidatos, que corresponderam a 35,67%, optaram por alguma modalidade de cota em todo o IFMT.
