Professional internships and the skills of the administrator: a study with graduates and graduates of a federal Higher Education Institution

Resumo: The present work has the objective of discussing the contributions of the professional internships to the development of competencies of the administrator, graduated in a federal HEI. The methodology used is qualitative, consisting of a survey study with students and graduates of the Administration course. Data were collected through a questionnaire sent by e-mail, containing four questions about experiences during the undergraduate internship. As a result, the study presents the reasons for the internship search, the related and non-course activities developed by trainees, the aspects that facilitate or hinder the insertion of the student in the job market, besides the skills and abilities developed during the internship. Finally, the study points out that the internship contributes mainly to the development of managerial behavioral skills, among them communication and proactivity, and little development of technical skills.

La metodología utilizada es cualitativa y consiste en un estudio de encuesta con graduados y graduados del curso de Administración. La recolección de datos se realizó a través de un cuestionario enviado por correo electrónico, que incluyó cuatro preguntas sobre experiencias durante la pasantía durante la graduación. Como resultado, el estudio presenta las razones para la búsqueda de la pasantía, como actividades relacionadas y no relacionadas con el curso aplicado por los pasantes, los aspectos que facilitan o dificultan la inserción de los estudiantes en el mercado laboral, además de las habilidades y destrezas utilizadas durante la pasantía. . Finalmente, el estudio señala cuál es la etapa más importante para el desarrollo de habilidades de comportamiento del administrador, entre ellas comunicación y proactividad, y poco desarrollo como habilidades técnicas.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo discutir as contribuições dos estágios profissionais para o desenvolvimento de competências do administrador, formado em uma IES federal. A metodologia utilizada é qualitativa, consistindo em um estudo de levantamento com formandos e egressos do curso de Administração. A coleta de dados ocorreu através de questionário enviado por e-mail, contendo quatro perguntas acerca de experiências vivenciadas durante o estágio na graduação. Como resultado, o estudo apresenta os motivos da procura pelo estágio, as atividades relacionadas e não relacionadas ao curso desenvolvidas pelos estagiários, os aspectos que facilitam ou dificultam a inserção do estudante no mercado de trabalho, além das competências e habilidades desenvolvidas durante o estágio.
