Environmental interpretation from the perspective of projects of the Extension Department of the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso, Cáceres Campus

Resumo: | Environmental Interpretation is a tool that, when it is well used, is capable of sensitizing and awakening in people the reflection and critical reading of the context, collaborating with socio-environmental transformation, and causing positive decision making at the face of environmental problems, besides being a strong allied of Environmental Education. Although incipient in Brazil, Environmental Interpretation is an activity that has been shown to be relevant to the theme of environmental causes. In this sense, it can become even more efficient when approached from a critical, holistic and integrative perspective. Within the scope of formal education, the Extension Department of the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso, Cáceres Campus, has been prominent in the diffusion of Environmental Education. In view of this finding, the present research was carry out with the purpose of analyzing how Environmental Interpretation is approached at the Extension Department of the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso, Cáceres Campus, between 2014 to 2018. It is a documentary research with a qualitative approach, and the technique adopted for the production of data was the document analysis. For data analysis, content analysis was used. At the end, it is concluded that the practice of Environmental Interpretation is approached based on strategies that included ecological, environmental, social, and educational aspects, based on environmental sustainability. |

Aunque incipiente en Brasil, la Interpretación Ambiental es una actividad que ha demostrado ser relevante para el tema de las causas ambientales. En este sentido, puede ser aún más eficiente cuando se aborda desde una perspectiva crítica, holística e integradora. Dentro del ámbito de la educación formal, el departamento de Extensión del Instituto Federal del Campus Mato Grosso de Cáceres ha destacado en la difusión de la Educación Ambiental. En vista de este hallazgo, la presente investigación buscó analizar cómo se abordó la Interpretación Ambiental en los proyectos del Departamento de Extensión del Campus entre el período 2014-2018. Es una investigación documental con enfoque cualitativo, en la que la técnica adoptada para la producción de datos es el análisis de documentos. Para el análisis de datos, se utilizó el análisis de contenido. Al final, se concluye que la práctica de la Interpretación Ambiental se abordó en base a estrategias que incluyeron aspectos ecológicos, ambientales, sociales y educativos, basados en la sostenibilidad ambiental.A Interpretação Ambiental é uma ferramenta, que quando bem utilizada, é capaz de sensibilizar e despertar nas pessoas a reflexão e a leitura crítica do contexto, colaborando com a transformação socioambiental, provocando tomadas de decisões positivas frente aos problemas ambientais, além de ser uma forte aliada da Educação Ambiental. Apesar de incipiente no Brasil, a Interpretação Ambiental é uma atividade que vem se mostrando relevante à temática das causas ambientais. Nesse sentido, ela pode tornar ainda mais eficiente quando abordada a partir de uma perspectiva crítica, holística e integradora. No âmbito da Educação formal, o departamento de Extensão do Instituto Federal de Mato Grosso Campus Cáceres tem se destacado na difusão da Educação Ambiental. Diante desta constatação, a presente pesquisa buscou analisar como a Interpretação Ambiental foi abordada nos projetos do Departamento de Extensão do Campus entre o período de 2014 a 2018. É uma Pesquisa documental com abordagem qualitativa e a técnica adotada para a produção de dados é a análise documental. Para a análise dos dados foi utilizada a análise de conteúdo.
