Profile of the freshman of a municipal school of technical professional education in nursing: product of a professional master's degree

Resumo: This article aims to describe the process of elaborating and applying a socioeconomic form for those entering a technical nursing course with municipal management; and to present the profile of students looking for the technical school, in order to contribute to the curricular planning of this course and others with similar characteristics. This is a qualitative research that used Institutional Analysis as a theoretical-methodological framework, in the Institutional Socioclinical approach. The data were collected through a form, characterized as a product of the dissertation carried out in the professional master's degree in health education to meet a demand from the 16 professors participating in the intervention research. After applying the form to 82 new students, the results revealed that the students are mostly young women, from public education and from families with a considerable percentage of social vulnerability. It is understood that there is an urgent need to expand discussions on the role of the technical school in the training of health professionals, on regional specificities and on the profile of students, creating inclusive and effective educational strategies aimed at this population. It is considered that the role of teachers goes far beyond the classroom and practice scenarios, where they must be attentive to the social, political, economic and cultural context of students looking for the technical course.

Esta es una investigación cualitativa que utilizó el Análisis Institucional como marco teórico-metodológico, en el enfoque Socioclínico Institucional. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de un formulario, caracterizado como producto de la disertación realizada en la maestría profesional en educación para la salud para satisfacer la demanda de los 16 profesores que participan en la investigación de intervención. Después de aplicar el formulario a 82 nuevos estudiantes, los resultados revelaron que los estudiantes son en su mayoría mujeres jóvenes, de educación pública y de familias con un porcentaje considerable de vulnerabilidad social. Se entiende que existe una necesidad urgente de ampliar las discusiones sobre el papel de la escuela técnica en la formación de profesionales de la salud, sobre las especificidades regionales y sobre el perfil de los estudiantes, creando estrategias educativas inclusivas y efectivas dirigidas a esta población. Se considera que el papel de los docentes va mucho más allá del aula y los escenarios de práctica, donde deben estar atentos al contexto social, político, económico y cultural de los estudiantes que buscan el curso técnico.Este artigo objetiva descrever o processo de elaboração e aplicação de um formulário socioeconômico para ingressantes de um curso técnico de enfermagem com gestão municipal; e apresentar o perfil dos alunos que buscam pela escola técnica, de maneira a contribuir para o planejamento curricular desse curso e de outros com características semelhantes. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa que utilizou como referencial teórico-metodológico a Análise Institucional, na abordagem Socioclínica Institucional. Os dados foram coletados através de um formulário, caracterizado como um produto da dissertação realizada no mestrado profissional em ensino na saúde para atender uma demanda dos 16 docentes participantes da pesquisa intervenção. Após a aplicação do formulário para 82 ingressantes, os resultados revelaram que os alunos são, em sua maioria, jovens do sexo feminino, oriundos da educação pública e de famílias com um considerável percentual de vulnerabilidade social. Entende-se ser urgente a ampliação das discussões sobre o papel da escola técnica na formação de profissionais de saúde, sobre as especificidades regionais e sobre o perfil dos alunos, criando estratégias educacionais inclusivas e efetivas direcionadas para essa população. Considera-se que o papel dos docentes vai muito além da sala de aula e dos cenários de prática, onde os mesmos devem estar atentos ao contexto social, político, econômico e cultural dos alunos que buscam pelo curso técnico.
