Social Representations Investigations: socialization of a theoretical-methodological path

Resumo: The goal of this article is to present the investigation that resulted in a theoretical-methodological path to research genesis and development processes of social representations. The research was guided by the Social Representations Theory (SRT) assumptions. The qualitative research had SRT data from books and scientific articles. We sought the contributions of Textual Discursive Analysis to evaluate the findings on SRT. Six elements were considered essential when designing an investigation on the genesis, contribution and resignification of a Social Representation (SR), namely: (1) identification of the SR object; (2) initial characterization of the profile of the investigated group, (3) understanding the interlocutors’ daily lives, (4) identification of Social Representations about the object of SR, (5) information processing steps: objectification and anchoring; (6) relations between SR and social practices. The theoretical-methodological alternative outlined may contribute to similar research provided adjustments to the particular social interaction context of the group participants.

El proceso se guió por los supuestos de la Teoría de las Representaciones Sociales (TRS). La investigación cualitativa contó con datos sobre TRS de libros y artículos científicos. Para el análisis de los hallazgos se utilizaron los aportes del Análisis Textual Discursivo. Seis elementos fueron considerados esenciales al diseñar una investigación sobre la génesis, construcción y resignificación de una Representación Social (RS), a saber: (1) identificación del objeto RS; (2) caracterización inicial del perfil del grupo investigado; (3) comprensión de la vida diaria de los interlocutores; (4) identificación de representaciones sociales sobre el objeto SR; (5) etapas del procesamiento de la información: objetivación y anclaje; (6) relaciones entre RS y prácticas sociales. La alternativa teórico-metodológica esbozada puede contribuir a investigaciones similares siempre que se ajusten al contexto particular de interacción social de los participantes en un grupo dado.O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar uma investigação que originou um caminho teórico-metodológico para pesquisar processos de gênese e desenvolvimento das representações sociais. A investigação orientou-se pelos pressupostos da Teoria das Representações Sociais (TRS). A pesquisa de cunho qualitativo teve seus dados sobre a TRS provenientes de livros e artigos científicos. Para a análise dos achados, recorremos às contribuições da Análise Textual Discursiva. Seis elementos foram considerados essenciais ao se projetar uma investigação sobre a gênese, a construção e a ressignificação de uma Representação Social (RS), a saber: (1) identificação do objeto de RS; (2) caracterização inicial do perfil do grupo investigado; (3) compreensão da cotidianidade dos interlocutores; (4) identificação das representações sociais acerca do objeto de RS; (5) etapas de tratamento das informações: a objetivação e a ancoragem; (6) relações entre RS e práticas sociais.
