Anxiety and depression: The most prevalent psychiatric disorders in the COVID-19 pandemic

Resumo: | SARS-CoV-2 infection (COVID-19) was first identified in December 2019 in Wuham, Hubei province, central China. This virus, due to its severe clinical repercussions, has forced the population to remain in social isolation, in order to avoid such repercussions. This systematic review of the literature aimed to gather and analyze the scientific content on anxiety and depression, being the most prevalent psychiatric disorders in the COVID-19 pandemic .Bibliographic references were obtained from the databases PubMed, LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Social and Health Sciences), MEDLINE (Online System for Searching and Analyzing Medical Literature 20 articles were selected, based on the criteria of The COVID-19 pandemic has the potential to cause serious mental health problems, as with all its restrictions measures end up generating some psychosocial stressors. Among these stressors are: interruptions in routines, separation from family and friends, scarcity of daily necessities, salary discount, social isolation and school closure, which generates a significant increase in the triggering of anxiety and depression disorders in the world population. |

Este virus, por sus graves repercusiones clínicas, ha obligado a la población a permanecer en aislamiento social para evitar tales repercusiones. Esta revisión sistemática de la literatura tuvo como objetivo recopilar y analizar el contenido científico sobre la ansiedad y la depresión, siendo los trastornos psiquiátricos más prevalentes en la pandemia de; COVID-19. Las referencias bibliográficas se obtuvieron de las bases de datos PubMed, LILACS (Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe en Ciencias Sociales y de la Salud), MEDLINE (Sistema Online de Búsqueda y Análisis de Literatura Médica. Se seleccionaron 20 artículos, con base en los criterios de La pandemia COVID-19 tiene el potencial de causar serios problemas de salud mental, ya que con todas sus restricciones las medidas terminan generando algunos estresores psicosociales. Entre estos estresores se encuentran: interrupciones en las rutinas, separación de familiares y amigos, escasez de necesidades diarias, descuento salarial, aislamiento social y cierre escolar, lo que genera un aumento significativo en el desencadenamiento de trastornos de ansiedad y depresión en la población mundial.A infecção por SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) se identificou pela primeira vez em dezembro de 2019, em Wuham, província de Hubei, na China central. Este vírus, por suas repercussões clínicas severas vêm obrigando a população em se manter em isolamento social, para que assim fossem evitadas tais repercussões. Essa revisão sistemática da literatura teve o objetivo de reunir e analisar o conteúdo científico sobre ansiedade e depressão sendo os transtornos psiquiátricos mais prevalentes na pandemia da COVID-19. As referências bibliográficas foram obtidas nas bases de dados PubMed, LILACS (Literatura Latino-americana e do Caribe em Ciências Sociais e da Saúde), MEDLINE (Sistema Online de Busca e Análise de Literatura Médica. Foram selecionados 20 artigos, a partir dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão. A pandemia COVID-19 tem o potencial de causar graves problemas de saúde mental, pois com todas as suas medidas de restrições acabam gerando alguns estressores psicossociais.
