School health program: the interface education/health and drug use

Resumo: | The objective of this work is to analyze the actions of the PSE (Programa Saúde na Escola or School Health Program), regarding the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, crack and other narcotics consume. This is a qualitative, exploratory, descriptive, comprehensive study with high school students and teachers at a public school in São Luís - Maranhão, from January to June 2017. The teachers reported knowing the PSE superficially, affirming that they did not participate of its programming or in the implementation of the proposed interventions. They also associated the program's activities with dental and assistentialist operations. The students, when asked about what they yearn for themselves and for society, respect, family life and world peace stood out. They exposed violence, crime and unemployment as difficulties. The data provided indicators on the student’s everyday life and the education developed at school, which can be used for thoughts and planning the PSE work. Although this school has internally established an intersectoral working group between teachers and health professionals, the responsibility for implementing the planning was left to the health sector and professionals of the Basic Unit to which the school is linked. |

Se trata de un estudio cualitativo, exploratorio, descriptivo e integral con estudiantes de secundaria y profesores de una escuela pública de la ciudad de São Luís - Maranhão, entre enero y junio de 2017. Los docentes informaron conocer al PSE de manera superficial, afirmando que no participaron en su programación ni en la ejecución de las intervenciones propuestas. Asociaron las acciones del programa solo con el trabajo dental y asistencial. Al responder a lo que anhelan y quieren para sí mismos y para la sociedad, destacaron el respeto, la vida familiar y la paz mundial. Expusieron la violencia, el crimen y el desempleo como dificultades. Los resultados proporcionan una mejor comprensión del contexto y la percepción de la comunidad escolar sobre la relación entre la educación y el PSE. Proporcionaron indicadores sobre la realidad de los estudiantes y la educación desarrollada en la escuela, que pueden ser utilizados para la reflexión y planificación de las prácticas de el PSE. Aunque esta escuela he establecido internamente un grupo de trabajo intersectorial entre docentes y profesionales de la salud, la responsabilidad de implementar el plan quedó únicamente en el sector de salud y en los profesionales de la Unidad Básica a la que está vinculada la escuela.Este trabalho teve por objetivo analisar as ações do Programa Saúde na Escola (PSE) quanto à temática “prevenção ao uso de álcool, tabaco, crack e outras drogas". Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa, exploratória, descritiva, de natureza compreensiva, junto a estudantes do Ensino Médio e professores de uma escola pública no município de São Luís – Maranhão, entre janeiro e junho de 2017. Os professores relataram conhecer superficialmente o PSE, afirmaram não participar de sua programação e nem da execução das intervenções propostas. Associaram as ações do programa apenas a trabalhos odontológicos e assistencialistas. Os alunos, ao responderem sobre o que anseiam e desejam para si e para a sociedade, destacaram o respeito, a convivência familiar e a paz mundial. Expuseram como dificuldades a violência, a criminalidade e o desemprego. Os resultados possibilitaram uma melhor compreensão do contexto e da percepção da comunidade escolar sobre a relação entre a educação e o PSE. Forneceram indicadores sobre a realidade dos educandos e a educação desenvolvida na escola, que podem ser utilizados para reflexão e planejamento de práticas do PSE.
