Creation of an academic league of medicine and bioethics: an experience report

Resumo: | Introduction: The Academic Leagues are student groups that aim to improve the study and skills acquired during graduation in a specific area of knowledge under the supervision of an advisor. This study aims to report the experience during the creation and legal regularization of an Academic League of Medicine in the field of Bioethics. Methodology: It is a qualitative, descriptive type of research that will report retrospectively the motivation, the technical, administrative, and legal procedures involved in the creation and regularization of a league. Results: In the current study, participation in an AL is something that grows gradually, proof of which are the impacts caused on the undergraduate student. Participating in this project is a benefit of high power in the curriculum and an excellent opportunity to improve the knowledge about the subject in focus. Furthermore, this study describes how the contribution of participation and organization in an academic league is a factor of mutual appreciation due to the exchange of knowledge and experiences, which are positive points in personal and professional formation. Conclusion: The present study evidence and concludes that the path of the whole process is arduous and that the presence of very scarce literature shows how fundamental it is to cultivate the development of studies that aim at this description of experience since experience coming from LABERN, the founding directors have become proactive, persistent, and admiring members of the axes of Bioethics. |

El objetivo del estudio es relatar la experiencia durante el proceso de creación y regularización legal de una Liga Académica de Medicina, en el área de Bioética. Metodología: Se trata de una investigación cualitativa, descriptiva, que retrospectivamente informará sobre las motivaciones, procedimientos técnicos, administrativos y legales involucrados en la creación y regularización de una liga. Resultados: En el presente estudio se nota como la participación en una liga es algo que crece paulatinamente, prueba de ello son los impactos que provoca en el estudiante de pregrado. En este sentido, considerando que participar en este proyecto es un beneficio de alto poder en el currículo y una gran oportunidad para mejorar el conocimiento sobre el tema en estudio, se describe en este estudio cómo el aporte de la participación y organización en una liga académica es un factor de apreciación mutua, debido al intercambio de conocimientos y experiencias, puntos positivos en la formación personal y profesional. Conclusión: El presente estudio muestra y concluye que el camino de todo el proceso es arduo y que la presencia de una literatura muy escasa muestra cuán fundamental es cultivar el desarrollo de estudios dirigidos a esta descripción de la experiencia, ya que, a partir de la experiencia que surge a partir de LABERN, los directores fundadores se convirtieron en miembros proactivos, persistentes y admiradores de los ejes de la Bioética.Introdução: As ligas Acadêmicas são grupos estudantis, que visam aperfeiçoar o estudo e habilidades adquiridas na graduação de uma área específica do conhecimento, com a supervisão de um orientador. O objetivo do estudo é relatar a experiência durante o processo de criação e regularização jurídica de uma Liga Acadêmica de Medicina, na área da Bioética. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, do tipo descritiva, que relatará retrospectivamente, a motivação, os procedimentos técnicos, administrativos e jurídicos envolvidos na criação e regularização de uma liga. Resultados: No atual estudo, nota- se como a participação em uma LA é algo que cresce gradativamente, prova disso são os impactos causados no estudante de graduação. Neste sentido, tendo em vista que participar desse projeto é um benefício de alto poder no currículo e uma grande oportunidade de aprimorar o conhecimento sobre a disciplina em foco, é descrito neste estudo como a contribuição de participação e organização em uma liga acadêmica é um fator de valorização mútua, devido a troca de conhecimentos e experiências, pontos estes positivos na formação pessoal e profissional.
