Therapeutic itineraries of hanseníasis in Sergipe, Brazil: between the years 2016-2020

Resumo: Study with the objective of identifying the number of adherence and abandonment of leprosy treatment in the State of Sergipe through the records available in the computer department of SUS (DATASUS). This is an epidemiological study of the ecological type with territorial basis of analysis the seven health regions of the State of Sergipe: Aracaju, Estância, Itabaiana, Lagarto. Nossa Senhora de Lourdes, Nossa Senhora do Socorro and Propriá. The search included studies published in English and Portuguese available in the Scielo, Lilacs and PubMed databases, using the descriptors "Leprosy", "Public Health", "Pharmacological treatment" with the Boolean operator "and". A total of 16,232 doses administered in the period 2016-2020 were identified, Aracaju is the region with the highest number of treatment abandonment with (67%) of cases, the lowest number is registered in the region of Nossa S. da Glória with 1 case (0.2%). Regarding adherence, men were the ones who adhered the most (59%). Thus, health education actions are necessary, clear guidelines that place the individual as the protagonist of their treatment.

Se trata de un estudio epidemiológico de tipo ecológico con base territorial de análisis de las siete regiones sanitarias del Estado de Sergipe: Aracaju, Estância, Itabaiana, Lagarto. Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, Nuestra Señora del Socorro y Propriá. Se incluyeron estudios publicados en inglés y portugués disponibles en las bases de datos Scielo, Lilacs y PubMed para complementar la búsqueda, utilizando los descriptores “Leprosy”, “Public Health”, “Pharmacological treatment” con el operador booleano “and”. Se identificaron un total de 16.232 dosis administradas en el período 2016-2020, Aracaju es la región con mayor número de abandonos de tratamiento con (67%) de los casos, el menor número se registra en la región de Nossa S. da Glória con 1 caso (0,2%). En cuanto a la adherencia, los varones fueron los que más adhirieron (59%). De esta manera, es necesario brindar acciones de educación para la salud, orientaciones de manera clara y que coloquen al indivíduo como protagonista de su tratamiento.Estudo com o objetivo de identificar o número de adesão e abandono do tratamento da hanseníase no Estado de Sergipe por meio dos registros disponíveis no departamento de informática do SUS (DATASUS). Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico do tipo ecológico com base territorial de análise as sete regiões de saúde do Estado de Sergipe: Aracaju, Estância, Itabaiana, Lagarto. Nossa Senhora de Lourdes, Nossa Senhora do Socorro e Propriá. Incluíram-se para complementar a pesquisa estudos publicados em inglês e português disponíveis nas bases de dados Scielo, Lilacs e PubMed, utilizando os descritores “Hanseníase”, “Saúde Pública”, “Tratamento farmacológico” com o operador booleano “and”. Identificou-se um total de 16.232 doses administradas no período 2016-2020, Aracaju é a região com o maior número de abandono do tratamento com (67%) dos casos, o menor número está registrado na região de Nossa S. da Glória com 1 caso (0,2%). Em relação a adesão o sexo masculino foram os que mais aderiram com (59%).
